Kimi didn't look like he had a set-up since he arrived at Hockenheim. But to get only 6th will have the entire team scratching their heads.

No surprise Hamilton is on pole. He's been fast all weekend, and although Massa was putting in some quick laps, it always seemed Hamilton had something in reserve. Heikki in third is an overall good result for McLaren. Team tactics for the race, methinks...

Trulli and Alonso both put in mega laps to oust the Ferrari while Kubica in 7th will be wondering where BMW's pace has disappeared to in the past three races. Heidfeld in 12th shows things are not quite going as planned (well, they've on their planned race, but are still in a championship hunt you know?)

No other real surprises. Piquet will only see out the season due to the lack of anyone being able to come in.
