where is everyone?

I'm sneaking onto the internet at lunch time. I'm not suppposed to be on since they're watching the logs now

Q: What about the manufacturers (Honda, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz and BMW) who called for your resignation in the days following the first News of the World story?

i just realized...every mfg that complained about Max were on the Axis side of things during WWII :mamoru:

Full interview here:

I really buy into his "Getting the independent teams more money" tho. I hope he can make a strong push for this. It's important to keep this sport balanced between mfg and independent teams...

I think every large car manufacturer on the grid was on the Axis side.

Germany: Mercedes, BMW
Japan: Honda, Toyota
Italy: Ferrari

Wait, i forgot Renault. Were the French in long enough to be considered on the side of the Allies? Didn't they spend most of the war under German (Axis) control? :o

What in the hell Magniot Line, lol. I never knew that....That kinda reminds me of the J&S Knocksensors...everyone in the late 90s was singing the praise of these things as the savior to knock on highly modified engines. Then when people put them on and all it did was blow engines, it was sorta like

Michael Schumacher's spokeswoman has confirmed the retired seven time world champion was involved in a road accident in England.

A car dealer in Kent, a county in southeast England, told the Mirror newspaper that he was struck as a pedestrian on Sunday by a modest Fiat Ducato van - which had the former Ferrari racer at the wheel.

The dealer said Schumacher, who was on his way to a private jet at a nearby airfield, was overtaking a slower vehicle at the time.

"(Schumacher) was screaming, 'What the fucking hell were you doing in the road?' He seemed cross, as if I was in the wrong. I called the police."

The police breath-tested and questioned Schumacher, but at first did not believe the 39-year-old German was actually the legendary winner of 91 Grand Prix.

The dealer, who said his worst injury was a bruised leg, explained: "An officer came in and said 'This guy's claiming to be Michael Schumacher'. Then another told us she'd seen his id and it was him.

"He still didn't apologise. He just got back in the van and drove off without even looking at me. He was arrogant."

Schumacher's spokeswoman Sabine Kehm said: "There was a collision but nobody was injured. Michael cooperated with police. There is nothing else we wish to say."

Kent Police said no further action will be taken.

Damn! Between this and the 430 Scuderia he allegedly wrecked at the 'Ring last week, it has been a tough month for Herr Schumacher.

According to the TG story, the "jaywalker" was closing his gate. Hard to know if this guy was in the middle of the street or schumi is back to his super-douche ways:

It hasn't been a good week for the man we call Big Schu. Following the Scud-Nurburgring interface - which, incidentally, Ferrari PR types are now blaming on test driver Raffaele DiSimone - Schumi has been on the rampage in Kent, knocking over a man who was locking his garage gates.

Big Schu, driving a Fiat van, was overtaking a couple of slower cars when he clipped the security gate that Martin Kingham was closing. The gate hit Mr Kingham in the leg and knocked him to the ground.

Though Mr Kingham wasn't injured in the incident, the driver's side mirror of Schumi's van was smashed and police were called to the scene. They confirmed that the two men exchanged insurance details, and that no further action would be taken. There, that's the important legal bit to make sure we don't get sued.

Q: (Andrea Cremonesi - La Gazzetta dello Sport) Fernando, could you clarify why you went to Lugano. Is it true that you are trying to transfer your home there? And for all of you: where are you going to go in the holiday break and are you going to go to Beijing to see the Olympic Games, and which is the sport that you will principally follow in the Olympics?

Alonso: I won't be going to Lugano any more in the break, of course, not to Italy. We will see. I have nothing planned. At the moment I will go to Switzerland for a few days - I have no idea. But I think my wife will decide... unfortunately!

Heikki: I think I will go - and this is probably the only time apart from Christmas - I will go to north Finland to see my parents, in the area where I am born, and do a little bit of fishing and just walking in the forest and enjoying not seeing anyone else but myself. I will see some animals: reindeer, maybe bears, things like that. In my family I make decisions where I go, I don't know what my girlfriend will do, but this is my holiday.

Alonso: You will see... wait two years!
