His comments are fine with me, the less politically correct the better. I wish more drivers would talk as much shit as possible.

guess I'm weird.. I don't like shit talkers, more of the guys that stay quiet and go out and do their thing...

DC talks tons of shit and never won a WDC. Webber about the guys in the 80's being pussies compared to the guys in the 60s and 70s. Most of us find it entertaining. :p

They've been in F1 around for as long as Lewis has been driving things with 4 wheels... they've earned their stripes...

most drivers don't waltz into the best car on the grid...if he was languishing at force india or honda everybody would be laughing at his shit talking.

If Lewis said "I'm better on the brakes than Kimi" that's fine by me, but him saying "if he doens't have the balls to brake late" that's lame in my view...

Everyone goes to that, but there's a ton more to it than what car he slotted into. He went blow for blow with Alonso in the same car. Alonso, who outpaced the great Michael Schumacher in an arguably inferior car. He's leading the WDC race while his teammate isn't even top 4. Or top 5. Kovi is 6th. There's THIRTY THREE points between the two. NO other teammate spread is that much. Fred to PK is only 10 points. Massa to Kimi is 17. Bob to QNick is 3. And I don't see anyone saying that Kovi is a particularly bad driver....

Honestly, what would essentially a wasted season in a Force India or STR have done for Lewis? DeLaRossa wouldn't have performed better in the McMerc. Kovi obviously wouldn't have either.

Yes, he went directly into a top tier race seat. But don't act like that's the only reason he's done well. And honestly, I think it was the best move McLaren could have made for filling that seat (ignoring Fred's implosion).

Why is everyone on the Kubica bandwagon? Quick Nick is still quick

I've never ever thought or alleged that hammy wasn't quick...just saying he'd be a little more humble if he'd started at the bottom.

I was just trying to compare teammates.

If anything, the 3 point difference only shows how people saying Nick is off-pace are pretty wrong, as he's right there with the highly rated Kubica.

At Ferrari International Assistance we operate a "blind eye" policy just for Ferrari drivers
Been a bit silly? Taken off another driver whilst following the safety car?
It's ok, as long as you didn't hurt yourself. I mean, who are Force India anyway? And how dare they be in front of you
A bit bored? Want some extra action?
With FIA plus you can take part in a number of additional membership activities including the popular "kill your pit crew" game
Not sure when you might need us next?

new clarification on the rule...

FIA clarifies chicane-cutting position

By Jonathan Noble Friday, September 12th 2008, 16:29 GMT

Formula One drivers have been told that they should wait at least one corner before resuming a fight for position in the event of future chicane-cutting incidents.

In the wake of the Lewis Hamilton controversy from Belgium, F1 drivers sought clarification on what was and was not allowed during their regular Friday evening briefing with F1 race director Charlie Whiting.

Autosport.com understands the drivers were informed that in the event of a driver cutting a chicane and gaining a position, he not only had to give that place back but should also wait for another corner before he could attempt to retake it.

Waiting until after the following corner would ensure there were no questions of a driver having gained an advantage.

At Spa, Hamilton gave back the lead he gained from Raikkonen when he cut the final chicane, but then retook first position almost immediately under braking for La Source.

The race stewards deemed that Hamilton had gained an advantage in that move, so gave him with a 25-second penalty that stripped him of victory and moved him down to third. His McLaren team have appealed against that decision.

Red Bull Racing's Mark Webber welcomed the clarification on the situation, which should minimize the chances of repeat problems in Sunday's Italian Grand Prix.

"We are still trying to find a solution for the second chicane here, because we still think there is a way to roll through there," Webber told autosport.com. "But generally, it is pretty clear for people to probably not attack immediately again, which wasn't mega, mega clear in the past."

i'm not siding with either argument here, just butting in to say that it's a lot easier to get respected when you let your driving do all the talking. thats why there's so much anti-hamilton and pro-kimi here...

If all the drivers were the type that don't do or say anything off track, it'd be pretty boring. Imagine if Kimi was cloned for all 20 seats, what press conferences would be like.

Half of F1 is man-soapopera.
