"Toyota's Timo Glock was also not pleased when asked about Hamilton's driving.

"I do not know what he was thinking. I was right next to him but he left me no room. Sometimes he drives as though he is completely alone on the track," the German is quoted as saying by RTL.

"The next time I am with him (on track), I will behave with him in exactly the same way," Glock promised."

perhaps, but when is glock actually going to be alongside ham and racing for position again? unless ham and the team make mistakes again or he decides to shove his front wing off in a show of 'balls' its most likely not gonna happen.

Max Mosley said he would like to see each Formula One team use the same engine.

The FIA President told the French sports daily L'Equipe that the move to a common engine would put a lid on costs and also make F1 teams' research more road-relevant.

Mosley, calling teams' current spending on technology "irrational," also said Wednesday he is in favour of the introduction of standard suspensions and gearboxes.

F1 teams are currently in the midst of a mandatory 'freeze' on engine development, with some like Renault complaining that they have fallen behind as their rivals sidestep the spirit of the rules.

"It is not conceivable that we are penalised for another three years," said team boss Flavio Briatore, who is campaigning for a remedy to the situation.

"We will discuss it in FOTA and look for a solution," he confirmed to the Spanish sports daily Marca.

Valentino Rossi is set to enter a World Rally Championship event for the third time in Rally Great Britain in December.

The multiple MotoGP champion contested Rally GB in 2002 and also competed in Rally New Zealand in 2006. He had planned to enter Rally GB last year, but had to back out at the request of his Yamaha team.

But Rossi's father, Graziano, a former bike racer himself, has confirmed that the 29-year-old will be back in a WRC car at the end of the year.

Rossi will again contest the Monza Rally, which he won last year, in a Ford Focus run by British team Ramsport, as a warm-up to this year's WRC finale.

"We'll be at Monza and we'll also be on Rally GB," he said in this week's Autosport. "It's not sure which car we'll have (for Rally GB), it could be the Ford - which, in my opinion, is the proven package for us.

"But Valentino might also drive a Subaru or Citroen, at the moment nothing is out of the question. There are some negotiations going on at the moment so it would be premature to say anything more."

Rossi will be targeting a top ten finish following his 11th place in New Zealand in 2006.

Fellow MotoGP racer Loris Capirossi will also make a one-off rally outing this year, contesting the final round of the British Rally Championship in Novemeber in a Suzuki Swift Cup car.

such a hard life he must live, his record in WRC is better than travis pastrana's off the top of my head :mamoru:

the 2009 front wing will be hugely different. they were testing '09 rear wing on a '08 package to see the effect of just changing the rear wing IIRC

F1 tyre supplier Bridgestone has confirmed it will use special reflective white paint for next weekend's first ever night Grand Prix in Singapore.

We reported recently that, for the inaugural floodlit event, the Japanese firm planned to use the incandescent paint in the groove of the option tyres as well as the extreme wet tyres for the new Marina Bay street circuit.

"For the spectators and the media it should make it a little easier to tell which of our tyres are being used," Bridgestone's director of motorsport tyre development Hirohide Hamashima said.

Hamashima also played down fears that Bridgestone's tyre allocation for the Singapore Grand Prix might not be suited to the cooler and darker ambiance of a night race.

"The way the tyre works at night will be the same as it works during the day," the Japanese said.

Kimi Raikkonen has admitted that, in the absence of a dramatic turnaround in his current form, he is not going to defend his World Championship title.

Monza last Sunday was his fifth failure to score points at a Grand Prix this season, meaning the Finn has dropped a full 21 points off Lewis Hamilton's title lead.

"Obviously you don't have to be Einstein to realise that this is not the way to fight for the championship," the Ferrari driver admitted on Wednesday.

Raikkonen is, however, refusing to either give up or pledge his full support for the much more realistic championship challenge of his teammate, Felipe Massa, who is only one point behind Hamilton.

"It's not over, I'll never give up," he said. "I would like to win a couple more races before the end of the season."

Raikkonen said the crux of his problem is getting the tyres to work for him, especially on a wet track, "and it seems to rain almost in every race nowadays," he lamented.

McLaren chief executive Martin Whitmarsh agrees that his team has a definite advantage when the skies turn dark.

"While Singapore is something of an unknown quantity," the Briton said, "I think we've all experienced wet races in Japan, China and Brazil so we feel well prepared."

Ferrari is testing away from the other teams at Mugello this week, hoping to get to the bottom of the F2008's problems.

"We wouldn't mind if it would rain the whole week," Raikkonen said.
