Was indeed quite a save and some nice overtakes.
A shame RB pitted him for intermediates.
There would have been no overtakes had he not gotten onto much faster and newer tires.

That's indeed correct. From an entertainment point of view it was indeed much better the way it turned out.
Purely from wishing the championship to be even closer for the season finale, it would have been better for Verstappen to have finished 2nd.

Just checked - 3 points difference. Had Verstappen been 2nd in Brazil then Rosberg would need to finish 2nd in the finale if Hamilton wins - 3rd would mean Rosberg losing by 1 point. If max had finished second, would we then only need for him to come second and Nico third for Lewis to win WDC? Because if not, and it still would have resulted in needing both Dan and Max to finish ahead of Nico in AD, then it's purely academic. I should go do the maths but I'm lazy lol

Good for F1 that Rosberg finally wins one though.

I meant good in the sense that people watching can not just assume Hamilton will walk next year's championship.Dang. Well, good on Max for trying so hard. Wish the RB strat guys hadn't pulled a howler. :-/
I don't think it's particularly good for F1 for Nico to win one. Maybe even an overall negative. Hard to say.

Nico winning one is just 'whatever'. I don't like nor dislike the guy. 50 of 58 wins thus far to MB since the new engine rules. Fucking asinine. F1 is in horrible shape.

I don't want Barbie to win. I want a 2007/2008 outcome.

Don't particularly care for Nico but that was good for the sport.

Just the way he acted, and what he said in the last few laps.
