how about no? fucking gay... i dont like it. takes away one of the best elements of the race since there is minimal passing. we find out tomorrow if THAT aspect is improved like its supposed to be.
what they should do all 3 sessions on low fuel (or do each car, 1 lap a piece like the pre 3 session days, makes for a good show, and you get to watch each drives full quali lap) and fast like proper quali, then fill them all full of fuel till the end. but maybe it'll turn out to rock out, who knows...
one at a time, 1 lap qualifying (a la nascrap/irl) was the absolute lowpoint in formula 1 qualifying history.
i pesonally think that they have the qualifying formula right, but publishing the fuel numbers takes away from the intrigue of the race strategy.
I agree that knowing the fuel loads is a definite spoiler. So in other words knowing Button will cruise to victory I can skip the race....
But-
Since James Allen can speculate about the race result a day in advance I can too.
Here's what will happen:
Button and Woobends will crash each other in turn 1, causing Woobends to retire and Button will have a cut tire from the massively wide frt wing on his teammates car.
Vettel and Rosberg will jockey for position causing Massa to go wide into the dirt and lose 12 positions only after rejoining aggressively and pushing Piquet into the barrier.
Kimi will slip past Vettel & Rosberg just missing Massa's spinning car and edge Kubica for 1st place.
Alonso will jump slow Nick and be penalized for cutting corners 3, 5, and 6.
.
.
Trulli, having jumped 11 places after an incredible start will form a tightly group pack behind him beginning with Kazoo.
.
Hamilton will make a lightning start only to aggressively overshoot turn 13 slamming into Fisi's car causing an enormous fiery explosion.
Meanwhile Button, having pitted for a cut rear right tire in lap 1, threads his way back into 3rd place and a podium after an incredible display of driving.
