The only thing I can't stand about the Speed coverage is the effin' delays. Other than that I don't think their commentary is too bad TBH. A whole lot less Lewis/Jens/McLaren sackriding is always a plus.

they delay about 4 or 5 times a year... and that's when it's kicked over to fox/cbs or something...

Yeah, but that's still 4-5 times too many IMO. Some of us like to wake up and watch the race live.

Subconsciously I feel like my screaming at the TV for a live event is justified :mamoru:

I can deal w/ the british sackriding...but the commentary is half drunk banter that almost adds no value most of the time :o

Meet Lapo Elkann... one of the heirs to the Fiat empire... his brother is Chairman of Fiat and Exor...

He is currently the manager of brand promotion at Fiat Automobiles. He is a "global ambassador" of the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.
Son of Margherita Agnelli de Pahlen and the writer Alain Elkann, he is the brother of the Agnelli "crown prince" John Elkann. Elkann is a grandson of Fiat chairman Gianni Agnelli and a stepson of Russian count Serge de Pahlen.

Cycling is close, but I don't think cyclist have the muscle endurance that F1 drivers need. Cyclists would be strong in the core, legs, heart. Drivers need all of that and than neck & upper-body muscle endurance as well.

F1 fitness is one of the most under-rated by any sport. It would make American footballers look like children's play.

A big difference is diet. Guys in the NFL, even the "small" ones eat ridiculous amounts of food. Upwards of 10-15000 calories during training camp. Once they retire, it's tough to scale back down to their level of (in)activity.

Different forms of wear and tear. Much more frequent concussions, sprains, torn ligaments, occasional breaks. Far less shattered femurs and decapitations in American Football though.
