The only thing I can't stand about the Speed coverage is the effin' delays. Other than that I don't think their commentary is too bad TBH. A whole lot less Lewis/Jens/McLaren sackriding is always a plus.???

Yeah, but that's still 4-5 times too many IMO. Some of us like to wake up and watch the race live.they delay about 4 or 5 times a year... and that's when it's kicked over to fox/cbs or something...

Subconsciously I feel like my screaming at the TV for a live event is justified

Cycling is close, but I don't think cyclist have the muscle endurance that F1 drivers need. Cyclists would be strong in the core, legs, heart. Drivers need all of that and than neck & upper-body muscle endurance as well.
F1 fitness is one of the most under-rated by any sport. It would make American footballers look like children's play.

just look at retired atheletes... footballers fall apart after they leave the sport, F1 guys stay in great shape

Different forms of wear and tear. Much more frequent concussions, sprains, torn ligaments, occasional breaks. Far less shattered femurs and decapitations in American Football though.just look at retired atheletes... footballers fall apart after they leave the sport, F1 guys stay in great shape
