Should France return to the F1 calendar it could alternate its grand prix with Belgium in a bid to ensure both countries remain a part of the schedule.
At present only two venues, the Nurburging and Hockenheim, take turns hosting a grand prix. However, both do play host to the German GP.
But there is now a proposal on the table for two countries, France and Belgium, to alternate their races on an annual basis.
"The competition between the countries who want to organise a Formula One grand prix is increasing," Etienne Davigno, the chairman of the Spa Grand Prix, told De Telegraaf.
The newspaper added that both parties are already in talks with F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone about the idea. It does, of course, depend on France returning to the F1 schedule.

Not France's fault. come on European race fans, get your shit togetherOne more reason to hate France:
Ticket sales for the Belgian GP at Spa-Francorchamps, to be held in 2 weeks time is going well. The organisers are hoping to exceed the number of expected visitors and try to promote the Grand Prix by using Jérôme D'Ambrosio's presence in Formula One.
Last year the Belgian GP had 55,000 visitors, but to cover the costs at least 65,000 would be needed.
The organisers however are sure they can do much better than last year. André Maes commented: "Visitor numbers will be higher this year. The effect of Jérôme D'Ambrosio is no stranger to that."
"We expect for 2012 even higher numbers, as our Belgian drivers will be even more known by then.
There is no reason that a Friday night Dodger's game should have more fans than a Formula 1 Grand Prix at Spa.

Kimi really wasn't the best driver that year.
coming back from being 17 points down with two races left and winning the wdc kinda says he was

One more reason to hate France:
I actually like Magny... but Bernie better not fuck around with Spa

So did Hamilton.

I love that everyone gets all defensive about Kimi's only WDC being had under team orders, especially after the outcry of Alonso's being in the hunt last year solely because of getting a pass order on the exact same teammate.

Massive, massive difference between Massa blocking hambone on the last race of the season and Massa being ordered to move over for his teammate at a mid-season race.I love that everyone gets all defensive about Kimi's only WDC being had under team orders, especially after the outcry of Alonso's being in the hunt last year solely because of getting a pass order on the exact same teammate.
They're simply not comparable.

Q: What was the hardest race you’ve ever driven in?
Vitaly: Once I drove at the Le Mans 24 hours and this one guy comes to me in my room at 5 o’clock and hit me “hey, wake up, go drive”, I said “F**k off I don’t want to”.

Jump to conclusions much?
I don't care about Kimi winning the WDC or who he had move over for him. The Hamilton fail was the point.
