At least they didn't go all smoke screens and mirrors at their car launch. McLaren went as far as building their new car in front of a crowd for the launch, using FAKE partsI wonder which frenchy sent their wife to kinko's with the manual
Seriously, why bother?
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/89292The team opted for a unique unveiling of its new car, which was assembled in front of the public in Berlin after being wheeled across Potsdamer Platz.
However, to ensure that it did not reveal the internal designs of the car, McLaren fitted the car with fake internals, including a plastic engine and exhaust, so that there was no chance of anyone catching a glimpse of secret innovations.

Meh, it's still cooler than most of the non-launches. And they only used fake parts for the internals which I think is pretty understandable. 99.9% of the fans wouldn't get much out of the real parts being used vs fake plastic stand ins, but ALL of their competitors would. At least they didn't go all smoke screens and mirrors at their car launch.
