why does the tire do that when there is no launch control? is that due to driver input via throttle?? or LSD or clutch friction??

:werd:

Seemed a little too rhythmic for driver input...gotta be something else I'm thinking.

My guess is that you are seeing the actual power strokes of the 4-cycle...

With 300 revs/second I really doubt you are seeing that on a F1 engine.

Just axle hop I think, when you are accelerating hard from a stand still the tire is going to be gaining and losing traction very quickly until you pick up enough speed for it to grip consistently.

There would be more vertical movement of the wheel if that was axle hop...IMO of course. I'd love to hear what a race engineer would say about it.

It totally looks like an electronic aid to me, maybe this car is a pre-2010 car with the new body bits on it?

This sounds very reasonable.

Not France's fault. come on European race fans, get your shit together

There is no reason that a Friday night Dodger's game should have more fans than a Formula 1 Grand Prix at Spa.

I bought a bronze ticket for 150 Euro once. Never again. Pretty much couldn't see shit :o

Fck! So they took the Red Bull F1 demo car to Austin. At first they said they were going to run it, then not run it. Turns out they did run it. My buddy Tan just got an autograph from DC. I should've gone :wtc: I hate regret!

It was a clusterfuck. The news was all over the place. "It's running! It's not running! It's only going to sit there and look purty!" Goes to show, you can't trust the news. IF I were there, I'm SURE I could get DC out to go for drinks, haha. Man that'd be awesome...drinking scotch with DC at a bar in Austin somewhere? EPIC. My buddy Tan, looks like a small frightened child next to DC  (PS: and yes, I've told that to him already haha.)

The very last donut starting at :45s, my buddy was on the far side of this video. So close...:hs:

All aboard the failboat!

You can probably open a subway station in Nick's asshole the amount of times he's been getting reamed by teams in recent history.

I want to see what senna can do. He didn't really hVe a chance to show anything while at HRT. Same with Chandok.

I'm sure the money aspect played a role in getting Senna to drive...plus, capitolizing on the Senna movie at this time doesn't hurt. I'd like to see what he can do as well, but no matter how talented, practice makes perfect. He has been out of practice for so long, I don't think he's going to do that well...:hs:

Honestly, they were both shown up so much by also-rans like Klein and Liuzzi that it's not really worth the attention. :hs:

Was that Red Bull intake-restricted? I see a plate in the intake that I've never seen in an RB6 before...
