The McLaren deception is now complete, I'm expecting great things in Melbourne.

Fred sitting out of the Australian GP.
Doesn't matter anyways, DNF has no points.

RBR is now threatening to quit F1 over engine disparity.
I hate whinging in sport, but I honestly don't blame them. I'll quote myself from the OZ thread:
"The only thing worse than the state of McLaren is the state of the sport.
Let's not rubber band the team's performance, but the homologation, lack of testing, and change token strategy is just a fiasco. It is just a perpetual penalty for early design mistakes.
I absolutely will not watch another season of Hamilton shitting all over the field, solely thanks to an engine designed 2 years ago."

This is 2008 all over again, but much worse.
They aren't even saving money, they still constantly develop and run dozens of engines to destruction. They just can't bring those updates every race.

I don't remember them complaining while winning 4 championships in a row, a few in a very dominate fashion.
I remember most of their advantage being due to things that others could catch up on like aero/chassis. Also remember stuff constantly getting banned on their cars.

The engine freeze was a good idea on paper, however they should have waited to freeze them when they were all fairly equal...

flexi-wing, blown diffuser.. werd. only that newey was an aero genius, so nobody could keep up.

Whatever the restrictions thru the rules were, whether engine or aero, the result is the same. If your team is 30 secs ahead of the field, it sucks for the sport. So I find RBs rhetoric pretty hypocritical.
Honestly, RB just needs to shut up and teams need to fight harder. But I do agree, testing needs to come back.
