Alonso was 100% a whiny bitch at macca, but walking into a situation where he knows there'll be equality, he may sing a different tune. Nobody, least of all emonso, though louise would be as strong as he was last year....everyone knows kimi is one of the best and can be the fastest man on any given sunday.

IF Alonso goes to Ferrari, it will make for fantastic viewing.

Kimi and Alonso are the two best drivers on the grid at the moment. I'll have my cock out every second Sunday watching the races!

Apart from two ordinary years where he was obliterated by Alonso, and he wasn't great last year, Fisichella has always been a good team leader, and when he's been at small teams, he's always been absolutely super. His time at Jordan and Sauber proved he is very quick and a racer. But it makes you wonder why he couldn't do it at Renault?!?!

Flavor Flav seemed to always have a hardon for Emoso, so he likely based the team around him because they were basically looking for a driver to complete their already competitive package.

Meanwhile FI will gladly base a team on the guy with the most experience, as they're trying to develop an entire package.

I'll agree with this.

Button seems pretty dedicated to Honda, for whatever reason (or it could be those 16 million reasons). But he honestly seems to want to win, just doesn't have the equipment to do so. His Top gear interview, where he was asked if he'd give it all up for his first win (ironically, the week before it), he said yes without any hesitation whatsoever. I don't even think Clarkson had finished asking the question.

I'd also like to add Sato at Super Aguri. From all reports, he IS that team, and really seems to have come into his own. His pass on Alonso last year in Canada was symbolic, IMO, of what he can do when he's at his best.

There is no doubting Button likes the wages he gets at Honda, but at the time he turned down a return to Williams, they were on a downer while it did appear Honda were going places at the time.

However, Button also has what every driver wants - a team built around him. He's happy, the car is getting better and his stock rose considerably last year.

Success will come.

Very true...it wasn't until the earth dream and new wind tunnel fiasco that honda fell off....it was barely over a year ago that some of us thought they had a shot to become a top tier team

If i was button, I'd be ok with honda too....there are no sure bets in F1...macca, ferrari, renault have all had their fail & aids years over the past 4 season....but with adding Ross, it;'s probably worth waiting it out for another 2 years.

I think after last season we'd have to rank the top 3:

Vodka Man
Black Jesus
Emonso

Hell, for 07, I picked them as a team that could win it, due to their (more or less) consistency with their car/lineup compared to Ferrari or McMerc.

If nothing else, Button's been a player for alot longer than most other people in F1, and he's got that win under his belt.

In the last 6 races of 06, he also scored the most points of any other driver. That's not too shabby at all...

Why did Fisi get destroyed by FA? Simple -- when a team-mate massacres you, it's hard to remain confident, and you start doubting yourself and your skills. That pass by KR on him at Suzuka in 06 highlights this. He had no confidence paired with FA. Which is why I like LH even more so, b/c he managed to apply the pressure to Emonso like nothing...

I'm curious to see if LH can bounce back after these 2 bad races.

I never knew why the hatred for LH.

IMO, he's a helluva driver that is strong mentally and can lay a fast lap like the best of them. And he actually pressured FA, the guy who pressured and beat MS to 2 championships. On top of that, he actually ADMITS when he does bad, and seems truly geniuine to me. He's also stated last season he DIDN"T want to win the title in court, and that KR deserves it. Do you guys truly think he's that bad of a guy? Hell, his contract isn't even half as nice as FA/KRs contract. And he signed that for 5 years! He maybe a little stale personality wise compared to KR, but I can't say I hate the guy the way you guys do. I truly believe he just wants to drive an F1 car and win a championship. Wouldn't that be a nice shoe to be in?

Publicity backlash.

People hate whoever's on top/most famous.

I'll admit i was happy the first time emoso beat Schumi, just because he took out the favorite. But then w/ Schumi's retirement and Emoso being a bigger and bigger douche, I went back to cheering for Michael.

At most you could say Alonso beat Schumi to 1 championship... the Ferrari/Bridgestone combination was nowhere near competitive in '05

Lewis starting work on an autobiography before his first season was over ticked off quite a lot of people

Hamilton's hand gestures and anger towards Fisichella in the last race, when they were vying for position, cemented my dislike for him.

Was it Lewis that worked on it, or some publisher that saw a demand and figure they'd cash in on it? I don't think he really has the time to work on an autobiography.

@ Skyliner - Dude, they all do that. Everyone gets frustrated when they can't pass...you can't blame a natural competitive hunger...that's seriously unfair. But...you're a Trulli fan so I understand

You can't expect a driver in F1 to not be confident/arrogant. If they aren't, they have no place being there. The fact that he admits fault shows to me that he's not arrogant. Massa, is arrogant. "I spin out, car fault car fault"

It's not all his fault. I just happen not to like him.

is he a good driver, yes, i've never questioned that, and for the first couple races i was pretty impressed that he came out of no where and did what he did. then he started getting full of himself. then this season, hearing his interviews, he's become as big as a douche as Emo if not bigger. personally, with his attitude and arrogance, i hope he doesn't win a title. hopefully with the next 5 years at McLaren he'll have as much luck as Kimi did with his stint there. get close enough but never savor it.

also, at the loving age of 23, still in his first season of F1, having released an autobiography.... i mean really?

and :mamoru: at having a stale personaility compared to Kimi :mamoru:

Just tryin to understand the reasoning. I'm just tryiing to strip your reasoning :mamoru:

what i dislike is the media sack-riding him. I think the media is to blame as much as anyone else for people not liking him. Hell, KR wins the championship and LH is on the F1 Racing cover. WTF.

confidence and arrogance aren't the same thing.
I want drivers to be confident and think they're good at what they do, but being arrogant... they can kiss my ass.
