While I agree with this -- and Senna is before my time I started watcing, from what I've read, he displayed a sense of humility about it. I mean even Prost was there carrying his casket...he seems human, with the simple goal of being the fastest driver, ever. What'd he put over Prost at Monaco? 1.2 seconds?? That's intense -- and his drive to achieve Godly times drove him. So when he died, it was like a sense of reality that hit the F1 community. Even if you can drive like a God, it doesn't mean you are...

I think that's why MS broke down and cried after beating Senna's poles...I mean that was some deep shit!

Well, what do I know -- I was throwin the football around my yard as a 12 yo when F1 was on back then :p

I love when he talked about Monaco that year, he said he fell into a trance and kept going faster and faster and he could see himself floating above the car as he drove. and when he snapped back into it, he had really scared himself and immediately backed off.

or thats what i remember reading, lol. but stuff like that makes him very endearing. dont forget too, he donated a substantial portion of this winnings to charities in Brazil without anyones knowledge.

Truth -- and the fact that he acknowledge Prost as a friend at Imola that day before the race in his car...how eeerie...it's almost like he knew...

eh yah, i know, but he was out front the whole time. alonso is still quicker in the wet.

and he compared himself to Senna, after that, i really hoped he wouldnt win the title lol.

lol, ok, nevermind. my point was that i thought it was ironic that he compared himself to senna when in fact i think alonso is the better rain driver.

it just didnt come out right :p

A quicker driver would've gotten out in front and passed him if he sucked in the rain. aka Alonso...but he wrecked :mamaru:

Its not the 3000 euros that interests me since I make more than that already, but i would do it for the traveling and opportunity to meet other people and chicks :werd:

Occasional test driver Michael Schumacher will be back at the wheel of a Ferrari as testing resumes at the Circuit de Catalunya next week.

According to reports in the Italian press, the 39-year-old German's F2008 will be equipped with simulated 2009 levels of downforce and Bridgestone's latest development slick tyre.

Regular race drivers Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen are also slated to join the Barcelona action, which precedes the forthcoming Spanish Grand Prix at the same venue.

Massa will drive on the first two days of the test before handing over to Raikkonen.

This isn't OT you don't hafta lie here :werd:

J/K

I used to make that... :werd:

But as you, the money isn't the main reason I would want to do it, I'd work for minimum wage if I could travel to every single race for a season (and my expenses were paid of course...)
