:mamoru:

Vettel will get his, there's no worry about that. But Webber doesn't have many chances left, and I *do* like the guy, so why not?

Vettel's consistent cracking shows that he's not ready for WDC. I'm pulling for Webbo or one of the McLaren guys.

I'll stab someone in the face if Alonso gets it via team-orders bullshit, like Kimi did.

Gotta love Schumi's Sekret Tageblog :mamoru:

http://planet-f1.com...Sekret-Tageblog

To be fair, she has never liked Rubens since the Austrian GP of 2002 when he made a complete three-course dinner of letting me past for the win that was in his contract to give me - "I expected him to come onto the podium playing the violin," she said afterwards "it was like a silent movie with him playing a Brazilian Charlie Chaplin with a hair transplant." However that is all water that has passed under my bridge.

...

Quite honestly and obviously she does not like Nico either. She is one time muttering; "how can a Finn who was brought up in Monaco and speaks better English than German, actually be a German?"

...
She is liking Timo very much, and I think I have to watch myself here because she once said in a kind of misty-full-of-eyes way he reminded her of Heinz-Harald, and we all know what happened there.

Lauda is such a curmudgeon.

Schumi's blog on pf1 is funny.

Are we making predictions yet on what the WMSC does to SFM? Points, money, grid positions?

Points. :mamoru:

Vettel is going to win it dammit... But if by chance he does get beat, I'd want it to be by Webbah...

same, but I want Alonso to take it if Vettel can't...
saying that still makes my skin crawl... need to give it some more time...

I'm still confused on how people can root for a guy to win a championship that's been gifted positions already, and will certainly be gifted more before the end of the year, especially when his rivals have all had on-track fights with their teammates.

Massa is basically 2 race wins requiring Alonso not to score to even get to Alonso's current points... and roughly 3 race wins where none of the top 5 guys score to take the lead... and as we've seen for the past couple seasons, it's come down to the last race... so why have a driver that basically has no chance of winning the title pull points from someone that's within striking distance when the top 5 drivers are separated by 20 points...

sure it's a bad way to win things, but it's still a smarter way... Ferrari have no chance at a WCC, they still have a shot at the WDC with Alonso... and Alonso is the better driver...

i understand the logic behind it, but the outcome is that he's being given points by his teammate, instead of fighting for them.

If the point total that he's given by Felipe is more than he wins the WDC by (if he does win), then his championship victory is as much a sham as Kimi's was.

I don't think it was a gift, Felipe was ahead due to skittle driving Fred into the wall at the start. Throughout the whole season Fred proved to be the one to challenge for the WDC with Felipe too slow and inconsistent. Remember that nobody told Massa to move over in Australia where he wasn't just a few tenths slower but probably 1-2seconds and cost Alonso a chance to challenge Button for the win. There was equality at the start, but now shit is getting real and Felipebaby isn't up to it so he has to move over. What he doesn't have to do is make a show and dance of it.

And Webber was ahead in Turkey, but he didn't move over for Skittle...

How is moving over and slowing down not gifting a position, no matter the cause?

his championship victory is as much a sham as Kimi's was.

Kimi still had a chance, and he took it... yes he had help, but wouldn't you move over if that 1 place helped your teammate win a title? even a heartless bastard would move over...

Webber and Skittle are in the fight... Massa didn't get basically 50 points behind Alonso and 70 behind Webber because he's been giving up places the whole season... he's back there because he's being outclassed by 5 different drivers...

Massa of 2010 isn't the same Massa of 2008...

Because its a team sport but WDC is the priority. Webber/Skittle were also on equal points in Turkey weren't they? Massa was out of the WDC even if he had won in Germany and don't give me the mathematical chance crap. Mathematically I think Rosberg is still in with a shout.

Again, i understand the logic, but that doesn't mean that the championship victory is as meaningful, in my opinion.

Is a championship in a car 1.2s faster than the nearest competition more meaningful? If Fred lost by 6 points at the end of the year and there was no switch everyone would be calling Ferrari idiots.

personally i think i'd be a little more pissed if i lost a championship because a teammate decided to win a race and i came in second losing out on that critical point while he had no chance verse feeling like the better man because i didn't ask him to move over at that critical time...

also, if it came down to the last race and my teammate was still able to win the title and i couldn't, i'd sure as hell be blocking everyone even if i was the faster driver in that race....

but that's just me...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

There is a possibility that one of Formula One's favourite circuits, Belgium's Spa-Francorchamps, could appear on future calendars once every other year.

Spa has been a constant feature in F1 since the 80s, but Etienne Davignon, president of the track, has revealed that they are looking into the possibility of alternating with Germany's Nurburgring.

"We have certain overall targets in terms of income and expenditure," he told Belgian paper Het Laatste Nieuws. "I don't want to give exact figures now, although ticket sales on Tuesday and Wednesday were generally on course.

"However, what will happen in the future we don't know. We are playing with the idea of alternating with a circuit nearby (the Nurburgring). That is the current state of play. However we are not at that stage yet."
