OUCH
My rent was only $500/month all expenses paid!
I gave that job up to move back home and help take care of my mom when she got cancer...

what do you do?
I really need a career change and I make sub 24K despite the fact I'm designing UI's for the Financial (IT) Sector. Sucks to be paid a thrid world country wage.... but I like living here though.

I'm vice president of sales and marketing.I'm a Senior Manager, Products / operations for an online advertising company. Its a small company though, so its a lot of work and just a title:)
As long as you like living where you are, and its enough compared to salaries there, who cares. I'm in India right now, and I would live here if i got the salary I do in the US. But thats not possible and i just cant commute by public transport as such. I'm too fucking picky after living in the states for 10 years

But since there's all of 3 people at work, that doesn't mean much.
Posted 11 April 2008 - 02:20 PM
We just have the 3.Exactly
. We're 5 people here, but about 50-60 people in India, and I manage the product development from here

you'd make approx $60,000 to $70,000 doing the same thing here
Posted 11 April 2008 - 03:35 PM
yeah I know, I make like 3 time less than I would make here.
Posted 11 April 2008 - 03:41 PM
and the cost of living there is roughly 2.5-3 times less also. the exception is the cost of gas and car tax

2009 Downforce SettingsOccasional test driver Michael Schumacher will be back at the wheel of a Ferrari as testing resumes at the Circuit de Catalunya next week.
According to reports in the Italian press, the 39-year-old German's F2008 will be equipped with simulated 2009 levels of downforce and Bridgestone's latest development slick tyre.
Regular race drivers Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen are also slated to join the Barcelona action, which precedes the forthcoming Spanish Grand Prix at the same venue.
Massa will drive on the first two days of the test before handing over to Raikkonen.

"a year supply of Clearasil Ultra"woah, 2 back to back posts.. productive day for the blog.

yeah that's teh thing, if I was making a US wage and living out here I'd be balling with not many compaints. unfortunately I only make a local wage... well better than average but still no where enough. Cars out here cost so fucking much, I have to share a car with my mom. (basically I can't afford one of my own. even a base model brand new civic would cost something like USD23K.....)
So I'm basically saving money, but can't afford shit.
