OUCH

My rent was only $500/month all expenses paid!

I gave that job up to move back home and help take care of my mom when she got cancer... :(

McLaren unconcerned by intra-team rivalry

By Jonathan Noble Tuesday, April 10th 2007, 03:28 GMT

McLaren say they are not concerned by the possibility of friction developing between Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton in the fight for more victories this year.

And team boss Ron Dennis has made it clear that all McLaren are thinking about is beating their opposition.

"The competition is those cars in front of us," said Dennis, whose team took their first victory for more than a year in Malaysia last weekend.

"We don't worry about each other. We just concentrate on beating anybody that sits in front of us on the grid or on the race circuit."

Mercedes motorsport boss Norbert Haug has also urged onlookers not to get too excited with Hamilton's form in his first two races - and remember that the Briton is going up against one of the best drivers in the world.

"We should not get carried away with his second race," said Haug. "He is doing a fantastic job and he knows he is driving against the most complete racing driver in F1.

"I think it is a great achievement so far what he has done. But we will do it step by step, and of course we will push the car further.

"I think it is remarkable if a guy like Fernando still says we can improve the car and improve himself. This is team play and I think it is very, very positive for us."

I'm a Senior Manager, Products / operations for an online advertising company. Its a small company though, so its a lot of work and just a title:)

As long as you like living where you are, and its enough compared to salaries there, who cares. I'm in India right now, and I would live here if i got the salary I do in the US. But thats not possible and i just cant commute by public transport as such. I'm too fucking picky after living in the states for 10 years :werd:

I'm vice president of sales and marketing.

But since there's all of 3 people at work, that doesn't mean much. :werd:

yeah that's teh thing, if I was making a US wage and living out here I'd be balling with not many compaints. unfortunately I only make a local wage... well better than average but still no where enough. Cars out here cost so fucking much, I have to share a car with my mom. (basically I can't afford one of my own. even a base model brand new civic would cost something like USD23K.....)

So I'm basically saving money, but can't afford shit.

Occasional test driver Michael Schumacher will be back at the wheel of a Ferrari as testing resumes at the Circuit de Catalunya next week.

According to reports in the Italian press, the 39-year-old German's F2008 will be equipped with simulated 2009 levels of downforce and Bridgestone's latest development slick tyre.

Regular race drivers Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen are also slated to join the Barcelona action, which precedes the forthcoming Spanish Grand Prix at the same venue.

Massa will drive on the first two days of the test before handing over to Raikkonen.

I'm originally from India, so i know how bad it is about that stuff. A civic here costs the same as what you mentioned, about $25k USD, and a good yearly salary would be $25k.

If I were to buy an apartment, where I stay right now, basically my parents apartment, it would cost approx $1,000 per square foot, and we live in a 2000 sq ft apartment :(

Home loans here are not as easy as what they are in the US, and can you imagine, having a salary of 30-40k USD, and trying to purchase an apartment that costs $1 mill  Thats one of the main reasons I opted to move to the US, staying costs here, if I were to move out, would kill me
