That's when F1 cars were sexier in my opinion.
Sleek machines without the stupid winglets and crap you get nowadays.

Of course it doesn't add to the racing, but we all watch on television, making it a visual sport. The sparks added an element of excitement, something you didn't find in other forms of racing.
I wish the powers that be would understand the visual impact of the sport. Same reason you (and I) want to see less horns & winglets - less ugly, more sleekness.
Remember those few races at the A1-Ring (nee Osterreichring) in Austria? The mountain forests made for such a strong and majestic visual. But sadly we don't get that anymore, just boring sand.
And ohmygod can you imagine sparks at the night race? wackit x 11ty.

I also prefer the lines of the "smooth" looking cars - before all the winglets, etc. The F1 cars of the early-90s were gorgeous cars - classic designs and liveries. Even the more recent F2002 and F2004 were great looking cars without all the added bits.
They should just put in the new rules:
'Cars must look like they did circa-1992.'

I think this is the ugliest car I've ever seen.
add in the Honda rabbit ears on the front and you've got the F1 equivalent of Man-Bear-Pig

Still better than A) Last year and B ) Expected.god. if the honda was fast i could excuse that crap, but not when they're struggling to get in the top 10 every weekend. atleast they dont get much television coverage that way i suppose.
