This is the first time in f1 history the rules have locked in a competitive advantage like the merc engine. Imagine if there was a suspension development ban in 92 or 93.

Drivers are nearing 8G in the new-spec Formula 1 cars at Albert Park, with the high-downforce cars described as "brutal" and "monsters" following the first qualifying session of the season.

How is Honda so bad with all the money at their disposal? Renault have a tiny engine budget compared to Merc and Ferrari yet they are pretty much up there.

Did you get a chance to watch qualifying? A hot lap looks like it is properly flying...it's no wonder Lance Stroll was having a hard time in testing.
Good to see F1 cars getting hustled again, but the inability to follow is bad for the sport still. In Ross Brawn We Trust.

What ban? Engine tokens are gone... And that was a pretty exciting tactical race. Plus, Hamilton couldn't catch Ferrari after Max pitted. Hoping this isn't a one off. Feel bad for Ricky tho. And Alonso lol
I had no idea tokens were gone. Shouldn't take long now...

Being a street circuit I'll give it a pass. That said, don't we normally have a safety car in Australia?
No close racing means no crashes

Cars looks better, clearly more parity, I'm worried about 19 more races won by pit-passes.

The only difference now is there is a front 4 instead of 2.
which is all we need.

Honda introducing a new design by Monaco supposedly. I wonder if they could throw an MB powerplant in the back before then, lol.

And that's the end of active F1 drivers at ROCPascal still not racing

I think he's being delayed so they can see whether or not the young Ferrari driver is the real deal or not. I have a feeling Pascal is okay...
