Hulkenberg - one of the most over-rated drivers in F1
I see him as the next Heidfeld, best driver on the grid but never given a real chance. Now he just needs an awesome beard.

Does anyone think hulk would be doing a worse job than rosberg right now?

I think you're the only one with that opinion of Heidfeld...

His genius is simply unrecognized by his contemporaries, like a modern day van Gogh. One hundred years from now people will be calling their children 'Nick', possibly in honor of this great man.

Clearly the Silvia Plath of motorsport.

Valentino
The other side of Rossi's fan club
But this story isn’t about what the VR46 Fan Club does at the circuits—it’s about what the organization does away from the flash and glamour of the GP scene. And much of this wasn’t known because Rossi and the VR46 Fan Club didn’t intend to have any of this publicized in the media.... The VR46 Fan Club regularly visits hospitals in Europe for children with a serious or terminal illness.

And that's why he's a GOAT....great job to his fan club for doing something wonderful like that as well and for Rossi to be humble enough to allow midday meals and record videos for the children.

Just in case you guys wanted to watch WEC Round 1 at Silverstone at work. I'm told from a friend that LMP1's are 7 secs quicker at race pace than Nico's pole @ Spa last year.. And only 5 secs slower at Silverstone at race pace; same situation. (Difficult to judge quali to quali for WEC because they qual with 2 drivers).
F1 is definitely not the fastest dog in town anymore regardless...
Edit: These cars follow thru corners amazingly...what happened to aerodynamics not existing behind cars in a corner? And the racing is CLOSE in LMP1 for having multiple engine formulas fighting it out.

I've been thinking for years that WEC/LMP1 cars have been more advanced than F1 cars.
They've been doing the hybrid thing for years, plus doing diesel hybrid vs petrol V8's vs Turbo Hybrid V4's, AWD vs RWD, etc etc. And they need to run straight for 24+ hours, sometimes 3-4 hour stints at a time.
I usually crash on the couch for LeMan's 24... it's just great to watch.

it is absolutely incredible to watch the racing...I wish I had followed more closely in the past. The Porsches really run away in the straights but the Audi's corner like an F1 machine! No wonder Toyota & Nissan are in this series as well...all of this really does translate back to road cars and are way more relevant to road cars these days then F1. How do they balance the performance among so many different formulas?
Having said that, it makes me even more sad for F1...

Yep, these are dark days for f1. No great technology, no great racing, no performance race. bleck.

I find myself struggling to legitamately stay awake for any f1 race in the last year :happysad:

It's a bit busy IMO. Would have looked better if there was rocket red only on the front of the nosecone and the top of the engine cover, then all black elsewhere. The additional red on the car makes it look like it was designed by a kid putting on makeup for the first time.

I like it
The colors on the top of the nose cone and the top of the sidepods are a bit much

It's no martini or JPL, but it's not that bad. Much better than their interim, better than the forced petronas aqua on the mercs, better than the ING renault.

So since Montoya is clearly still the best open wheel racer when is he coming back to F1?

I am not sure how soccer is lucky enough to have blatter quit, and we're still stuck with bernie. And engine tokens. FFS.
