Fan hit by stray bullet at Texas
By Steven English Tuesday, November 4th 2008, 12:17 GMT
A NASCAR fan was hit by a stray bullet on the Sunday of last weekend's event at Texas Motor Speedway.
The bullet pierced the roof of a woman's motorhome on the morning of the race and hit her in the right arm, reports the Associated Press.
The 62-year-old has not been named but her son-in-law, Bobby Cook, told local television network KTVT: "She immediately screamed 'I've been shot, I've been shot' and took off running out the door."
She was taken to hospital with what was described as "a significant wound" but was listed as in a stable condition on Monday.
The bullet is reported to have been a rifle round fired from a long distance and investigators are not believed to have any suspects.
Texas Motor Speedway spokesman Mike Zizzo declined to comment on the incident.

Thats bullshit, if Schumacher came back to drive for Renault Alonso would still be the favourite in the team. Regardless of how they perform relative to each other. And I dont buy this lapdog stuff either, Alonso never gave up last year and raced hard when pushed by Lewis.

I honestly think that Hamilton/Alonso was the closest we'll get to seeing a modern Senna/Prost battle. From now on, it's going to be all Mika/Michael type fights.Thats bullshit, if Schumacher came back to drive for Renault Alonso would still be the favourite in the team. Regardless of how they perform relative to each other. And I dont buy this lapdog stuff either, Alonso never gave up last year and raced hard when pushed by Lewis.
