Now, how much do you think the staff has changed since then? I know some high level names have come in, but the majority of the grunts, are they the same?

It's still the Brackley factory and I would have guessed that they downsized a lot when they became BrawnGP, but the core staff would still be from the Honda days. With the Merc acquistion their budget probably has increased quite significantly so there may be some fresh blood amongst the workforce too.i just had a quick thought.... so its easy to forget that what is now Mercedes F1, was the Honda team of old. and in between that, they were Brawn GP.

I wonder if any new hires were the redundant employees coming back though. Not sure about UK, but there are some strict laws about re-hiring a laid-off employee here. It's still the Brackley factory and I would have guessed that they downsized a lot when they became BrawnGP, but the core staff would still be from the Honda days. Felipe pulled 160 laps today doing race sims and fuel consumption tests.
Ferrari is burning through their testing mileage allowance like it's going out of style...

22.1 b) No competitor may carry out more than 15,000km of track testing during a calendar year.wait, they are only allowed a certain amount of miles???
But also, there is a use by date:
22.1 c) No track testing may take place between the start of the week preceding the first Event of the Championship and 31 December of the same year
So basically do 15000 km in the next 3 weeks minus the mileage you need for straightline tests and the young driver development tests.

I think it would look better if they moded their design to look something more like this.

Plans for the track locate it on a 20 hectare (50 acre) plot of land, but both the location and the franchise to run the track have yet to be decided. The Singapore Sports Council is looking at doubling the size of the site, and is due to make a decision on who will run the track in the near future. The track, originally planned to be between 2.5 and 3.5 kilometers long, would need to be closer to 5km if it is to host the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix which is currently held on a street circuit. The FIM track regulations also specify a minimum length of 3.5 km, and so if both MotoGP and Formula One are to come to the circuit, the track will need to be longer than is currently allowed for.

Ferrari's Felipe Massa doesn't understand why his former teammate Nick Heidfeld is without a race seat this season, and instead a test/reserve driver for Mercedes GP.
Massa said to Swiss newspaper 'Blick', "Why has no one offered my former team-mate Nick Heidfeld a good race-seat? If I look at this year's field in such a way, then he belongs in Formula One - not as a test driver."

I dunno how going to a factory team that has 2 WDCs in the last decade is getting the shaft (one of only 3 manufacturers to get a WCC in the last 10 years). Sure Renault aren't as fast as they used to be but I don't see how going there would be any less favorable (at the time he signed) than any other team bar Ferrari/McLaren/Mercedes/RBR. I see his change from BMW to Renault more as a lateral move than up/down on the pecking order.agreed about nick and kubica...

Nick on the other hand... Well he straight up got jacked.

Even when Renault is bad, they're still a mid-field team.
