Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya could this weekend be the scene of the first wet race of the 2008 season.
According to weather reports, both qualifying on Saturday and Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix are expected to be affected by drizzle.
Wednesday through to Friday, when free practice will take place, is however forecast to be predominantly sunny, with temperatures at around 20⁰C.
The final day of the Barcelona test last week, held on the same circuit in the northern municipality of Montmelo, was disrupted by rain.

Rubens Barrichello has received an offer to see out his long motor racing career in America, according to reports.
The German newspaper Bild claims the 35-year-old, who next month will set a new benchmark as the longest serving grand prix driver in history, has been asked to run with the Andretti-Green IndyCar team in 2009.
Barrichello's current contract with the F1 team Honda, owned by the Japanese marque that also equips Andretti-Green – and the series - with engines, runs out at the end of 2008.
Bild raises the possibility of a seat 'swap'; Barrichello to IRL in exchange for Andretti-Green's Marco Andretti, the 21-year-old American son of former McLaren driver Michael Andretti, whose own father Mario won the world championship in 1978.
Reportedly, the American broadcaster Speed TV cited Barrichello as confirming the offer.
Marco Andretti has already collected about 900 kilometres of testing in a Honda F1 car.

Key figures of the financially embattled Super Aguri team have all travelled to Barcelona for this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix, it has emerged.
Team Principal Aguri Suzuki, Managing Director Daniele Audetto and drivers Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson are all in the vicinity of the Circuit de Catalunya, but whether the team can escape its own demise is still unclear.
It was earlier revealed that all the small Japanese team's transporters, including the one carrying the Honda powered SA08 cars, had been dispatched to the venue, and they have now been followed by team staff such as mechanics and engineers, who left the Leafield headquarters on Wednesday.
A team spokesperson was however unavailable to update the status of talks to save Suzuki's team, amid rumours that a deal with the Magma Group - whose expected Dubai backing recently fell through - was again a possibility.
More should be known prior to the commencement of free practice on Friday, following a scheduled meeting between Suzuki and his staff the day before.

news time
Marco & Jensen -- that *could* be a stellar deal if Marco proves to be cut out for it...I haven't followed Marco's career closely but it'd be nice to see an American back in F1

I think heikki is gonna be awesome to watch in the coming years. He's not a mumble, he's charismatic and he's a pretty damn good driver too. It's just a pity he drives for McLaren, but then again Mika did too and I thought he was an outstanding champion. I guess in the end I can forgive both Mika and Heikki for their shortsightedness...
Mika Hakkinen = Legend.
As for Heikki, give him a year to settle into the team and next year I think he'll be challenging for the title.

He won't push Kimi out in '10. He's too good to be pushed out...It's more or less of whether Kimi stays in or not. I just don't see him being motivated long enough to do it for that long. Once he's gone tho, FA will be on his target list ASAP.
Raikkonen will retire sooner rather that later. He has little interest in records. He'll do his job, win races and titles and retire back to Finland with his gorgeous wife, massive bank account and drink excessive amounts of vodka.
Alonso will be drafted in then. He won't be drafted in while Kimi is there.

Just a thought on the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix.... it's been a looooooooong time since there's been an exciting race there. It's a track all the teams test exhaustively on; and the consequence of that is no surprises in the race.
Having said that though, this may be the race in which BMW can finally claim that first win.
Depending on how qualifying goes (and the weather) will determine whether I get up at 6am to watch the race.
I usually get a good nap during a Spanish race. The first race there - 1991 - was an absolute cracker. 1992 wasn't bad either but from about 1998 onwards, it's been a fucking snoozefest.
They test there far too much and that leaves the racing to be desired.

Fuck, don't go to the IRL Rubens. You surely have more dignity than joining that crapwagon circus.
As for Marco Andretti, I am not impressed by drivers going round in circles. Even at 200mph.

Didn't he do the 12 Hrs of Sebring in an Acura LMP? And was class lead until mechanical problems?
But I don't want to see Woobens in an IRL car either

Much as we miss him, it does make a nice change not to see Michael Schumacher doing his John Travolta impression on the top step of the podium once a fortnight.
And with brother Ralf now pedalling around in the DTM (not that he bothered the podium that often), the grid is a Schumacher-free zone for the first season since 1991.
Plans are afoot to remedy the situation, however, with the news that Michael’s nine-year-old son Mick has already competed in his first kart race, at the Sils circuit near Gerona, Spain.
The youngster, cleverly nicknamed ‘Schumi III’ by the German media, is apparently a pretty handy karter.
So, expect another period of Schumacher domination to start around 2019. At least Lewis Hamilton will have had a good run at it by then…

This must be what crack whores feel.
The addiction, not the bounty of homless-old-man cock. I have no idea what that might feel like...
