ThisGo to hell BMW. At least when Honda pulled out, they were gracious enough to supply money, and sell the team for super cheap...
There were times where it looked like they were just going to pull the plug...all of theose missed deadlines in December/January I think.
Can't give Honda too much credit though...look at SA

:scapegoat:
While they did blame Fry specifically for the incident, at this point, it may have been Fry and Co trying to salvage Honda for the 09 season (which didn't pan out).
Considering they were essentially developing THREE 09 cars at once, i'm sure the main Honda team was using up a FUCKTON of resources.

Sebastien Loeb has revealed he has been in contact with the burgeoning USF1 team about the possibility of a Formula 1 outing in 2010, but insists the World Rally Championship is likely to remain his priority for the time being.
The five-time World Rally Champion's name has been regularly mentioned in connection with a switch to the premier single-seater series, most notably with Scuderia Toro Rosso, who are rumoured to be finalising a deal with Loeb to race at the season-ending Abu Dhabi round.
Nonetheless, beyond the links with Toro Rosso – who are owned by his chief sponsor Red Bull -, Loeb confirmed he has been courting interest from rival teams, in particular USF1, about a possible appearance in 2010.
Speaking to French publication L'Equipe, Loeb states that he is interested in participating in a handful of F1 races, even if he insists he is close to re-signing with Citroen for the 2010 WRC season.
"I wanted to know if anyone in F1 was really interested in me,†Loeb, who sampled a Red Bull F1 car during 2008 winter testing, said. “Someone contacted this new team but I don't know what happened.
"I am enjoying myself in the WRC and I am on the verge of extending my contract with Citroen. However, if I get the opportunity to do a couple of races in 2010 when the races don't clash then why not?â€
USF1, who recently confirmed a financial tie-up with YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, is one of at least three brand new teams slated to make its debut on F1 grid in 2010, along with Campos and Manor Motorsport.

Brawn finds backing to secure F1 future
By Jonathan Noble Tuesday, August 25th 2009, 12:46 GMT
Brawn GP has now secured the funding to guarantee its Formula 1 future for the next three years, AUTOSPORT has learned, after confirming for the first time that its deal with Virgin will end later this season.
The outfit had come into this campaign with enough funding from Honda to see it through to the beginning of 2010, but it needed to find additional backers to guarantee its place in F1 beyond then.
A sponsorship deal with Virgin was signed at the Australian Grand Prix but hopes it could be expanded into a title-sponsorship deal were scuppered when the two parties could not agree on the level of funding. Virgin is now on its way to the new Manor Grand Prix team.
Despite failing to find a deal with Virgin, it is understood that Brawn GP has now managed to put in place agreements with a number of unidentified major backers that will commence from the start of 2010.
Brawn GP CEO Nick Fry said the identity of the sponsors would likely be kept secret until the launch of is 2010 car. The team has been linked to deals with Emirates airline, Monster energy drink, Bwin and Telmex in the past.
"We have zero worries on funding for this year, next year, the year after, and the year after that," he told AUTOSPORT. "I smile when people talk about money, because we've always had the finances for this year, and neither Ross nor I would not have taken on the team if we did not have the money for this year.
"We've signed some nice contracts, and those will come out into the open when we launch the car next year, but we will see what happens. There is zero worry on our side."
Talks with team backers accelerated over the summer once the new Concorde Agreement was in place - as it guaranteed the future of F1 and ended talk of a breakaway.
Team principal Ross Brawn said: "That was a log jam because sponsors wanted to know what the situation was, and things are freeing up. Everyone up the pit lane will find that things are now much better because we know what the commercial basis is for the future.
"We know we are going to be racing for the next three years at least in this championship - and I hope beyond, I hope we don't get into discussions about alternative championships again."
Fry also publicly confirmed for the first time that Virgin was leaving the team at the end of this season, following its first foray into F1.
When asked if the company's logos would be on the Brawn GP car next year, he said: "No. We've had a great relationship with Virgin.
"You have noticed different stickers from Virgin on the car over the year, and that is the result of additional requests from their side, which has increased our income as well, which is nice. I think they have had a great initiation into F1, and we are helping where we can in advice about what they can do with Manor.
"I really do hope they are successful not only next year but beyond, because they are a good company and it is a good company for F1 to have."

Tech3 Yamaha, not Monster Yamaha. That works for me, they also currently sponsor Monster-Yamaha in MotoGP, the team Colin Edwards rides for, would save me alot of money on gear.

Loeb, USF1, confirm contact about 2010 season
By Motorsport.com/GMM
Ultra-successful world rally driver Sebastien Loeb has reportedly made an approach to the new-for-2010 Formula One team USF1.
"Somebody representing Loeb called us but I won't give details of the conversation," sporting director Peter Windsor is quoted as telling the French sports daily L'Equipe.
Ever since Loeb, 35, tested Red Bull's F1 car over the winter, his rising interest in a more serious foray has been rumoured, including recently putting his name forward as Sebastien Bourdais' Toro Rosso replacement.
Windsor added: "He is an incredible talent and he would definitely make things interesting in F1. We are looking more on the American side but are going to take him seriously."
Loeb also confirmed the USF1 approach to L'Equipe.
"I wanted to know if a team was really interested in me for F1. Someone contacted this new team but I don't know what happened.
"I am enjoying myself in the WRC and am on the verge of extending my contract with Citroen. But if I get the opportunity to do a couple of races in 2010 when the calendars don't clash then why not?" the Frenchman added.

Pretty funny they cite reliability when the team has had inherently shit reliability in all aspects of the car for years and I dont think works Renaults have had engine trouble this year?
Anyway the Merc is probably the best engine so they cant do any worse with it

My bad, it became Tech3 Monster Yamaha in '09 after Kawasaki pulled out and Monster signed with Tech3 as title sponsor. I'm still used to it just being Tech3 (pronounced 'Tech Twaaaaaah') YamahaWord? Guess my buddy was wrong, ohh well

Though he may be adamant that Felipe Massa's Ferrari seat is his until the Brazilian is fit enough to reclaim it, Luca Badoer might only be starting one more grand prix for the Scuderia, reports suggest, with persistent whispers that Mikko Bortolotti could become the first FIA Formula Two Championship driver to graduate to Formula 1 at Monza.
Badoer endured a difficult return to action in last weekend's European Grand Prix in Valencia, languishing some way off the pace during his first competitive F1 outing in almost a decade. Although he had closed to within two seconds of the fastest driver and 1.4 seconds of team-mate Kimi Raikkonen by the end, the knives had already been drawn.
Whilst the Italian will race again in the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps this coming weekend – where a distinct improvement is expected, given his prior knowledge of the track, unlike in Spain, and greater experience of the F60 following all his laps around the Valencia Street Circuit – the 38-year-old's position for the Italian Grand Prix a fortnight later looks considerably more tenuous, with the tifosi clamouring for a different driver to be put into the cockpit of the #3 scarlet machine.
That driver, it appears, could be Formula Two race-winner Bortolotti, who has already tested for Ferrari as a prize for winning the Italian Formula 3 Championship last year, impressing the Maranello-based outfit's president Luca di Montezemolo by setting a new unofficial lap record of 59.111 seconds around the team's Fiorano test track, more than a second quicker than his two F3 rivals on the day and better even than the fastest efforts of Raikkonen, Badoer and test driver Marc Gené earlier in the season.
“These boys have astonished and surprised me,†sporting director Luca Baldisserri remarked at the time. “The extraordinary thing is that they didn't make even one mistake. They were immediately very quick and showed they have enormous potential.â€
Following his superb campaign in F3, Bortolotti was snapped up by the Red Bull Junior Team at the beginning of 2009, and broke his Formula Two duck as soon as the third race of the year at Brno in the Czech Republic in June. There have since been further rostrum finishes in Valencia and at Donington Park – meaning the 19-year-old Italian currently sits a competitive sixth in the title standings heading next to Oschersleben in Germany on 6 September – but the man himself is refusing to be drawn into the speculation regarding his future.
“All I can say is that I'm racing in F2 and I'm not thinking about anything other than the championship,†he underlined. “I want to be higher than sixth, so I have to work hard and apply myself 100 per cent. There is still enough time to improve, so if I can get the best possible results hopefully I can move up the order again.
“There has been quite a lot of speculation in Italy surrounding the Ferrari seat. To be honest I think Luca just needs a bit more time to get a feeling for the car. Everything has changed since he last raced, but I'm sure he will be quicker at Spa as the pace is there in the car. As for me, I'm just focusing on Formula Two. It's nice to be linked with the team, but my mentality is just to do a good job in Formula Two for the remaining three rounds – after that, I'll start thinking about my future.â€
