But Germany was almost completely stripped of its resources after the Versailles Treaty. They had to pay the allied forces a ridicules amount of reparation after WWI. In that essence, they too had to invade "neighboring" countries for resources to essentially pay the allies.

In fact I would even to go as far to suggest that Germany had more of a reason to invade its neighbors, as the Japanese were on the winning side of WWI and gained a lot in Asia due to the treaty of Versailles. They were quite simply greedy and wanted more resources to expand their empire like the Europeans did prior WWI.

Not to mention, China (Nationalists: the controlling Government) already have a country of their own, and were planning to remove the communists so I doubt it was in their interest during that time, to try gain International support like the Jewish community did, as they were more interested in gaining military support from the US to remove the communists than to complain about the atrocities committed by the Japanese.

And, even after 1949 when the Nationalists were defeated and exiled, the communist government were not recognized as the official Chinese government (it didn't happen till 72), so even if they complained about Japanese atrocities in China, no one really listened to their complaints about their suffering until 1972, by which time was 30 years after the war...

edit: that and Chinese people are more about getting on with life then complaining about that huge chip on their shoulders unlike some people... :o

:werd:

Nazi Germany was relatively humane in their conquest/empire building, but 100% evil in their genocide of Jews and gypsies. Japan was much more vicious in their invasions.

Not defending nazis in any way shape or form, but there's no wiki article for "the rape of paris" or "the rape warsaw"

I'm gonna stay out of this one :werd:

You guys know how I'm not allowed to ever own a Jap car by my mom due to great grandpa's death in WW2 (he was a civilian)

so my view is going to be rather one sided on this :o

here comes the Mercedes, looks pretty good (except the chap on the right)

That's still one of the better looking cars on the grid despite their PUKE SPRAY/STREAK livery.

I have a feeling that it's also going to be one of the fastest cars on the gird.

Ferrari may be working on 'B' spec F10

Ferrari may already be working on a 'B' version of its recently-launched F10 car.

It became the first team to launch its 2010 challenger on Thursday, but there are rumours that the initial performance estimates aren't as high as Ferrari had hoped. The Times said that, despite cutting short development on last year's car to focus on the F10, there is speculation sweeping through the Italian media that a replacement is already on the drawing board.

It is not unusual for teams to immediately work on updates and traditionally all cars receive major tweaks after the first few fly-away races. However, the possibility that the team is already working on a 'B' spec version suggests a more fundamental revision of the design.

Ex-Ferrari driver Gerhard Berger thinks his old team is not as strong as it was during its years of domination in the early 2000s.

"Even with [Fernando] Alonso, Ferrari's overall package is not as strong as it once was with [Michael] Schumacher," he told Switzerland's Blick newspaper. "They are now missing [Jean] Todt, [Ross] Brawn and the often underestimated designer [Rory] Byrne. And without the right people, soon you are lost."

That quote is much, much older than MW2.

sarcasm fail :werd:

Anywho, does everyone have the redbull nose now besides the Renu & Sauber cars now?

The more they try to be fast, the more they end up looking the same...might as well make spec cars now :o

Okay, honestly - can you guys really tell that big of a difference in the MB & RedBull cars other than the aero appendages? They're like almost identical from nose to tail.

Really, that car is the surprise of the testing so far.

But as Williams has loved to show the last couple years: testing times mean nothing on race day.

i know people doubt Ferrari due to schumi and super staff leaving, but Ferrari has an awful lot of resources. if they really focused on development as early as they said, then the times should not be suprising.

Sauber is surprising, but it seems to be a theme: manufacture pull out, next car is fast :) maybe kobi flatters the car :)
