well you can't really compare 2 rookies in shit cars to someone's that been around forever...

You can when he's never really impressed, and he's a late-driver to the car they'd been getting used to all season.

When was the last time the sport had so many pay drivers? I came to F1 late, but I don't recall nearly this many pay drivers in F1 until recently...Seems like everyone needs a pay driver suddenly with the world economy tanking...

I was thinking the same thing.

Pay > talent, at even 'respected' names like Sauber and Williams.... And yet Force India and Lotus still have salaried drivers.

Strange world we live in when the private newcomers (RBR, STR, FI, Lotus) can afford to pay drivers, but some of the old guard can't.

At least HRT is keeping the shitty team:pay driver alive. :mamoru:

Paying your drivers means you get better results and more money at the end of the year/better marketing. Teams taking on pay drivers are pretty stupid tbh, except HRT who have no hope of improvement so might as well.

Also I think paydrivers are a big talking point atm because we have nothing else interesting to discuss :mamoru: no drama

female eh? A/S/L :mamoru:

I prefer this to FIA / Team disputes by far and large. I agree that pay drivers on the old teams are pretty lame...means they must be struggling quite badly. Sad to see Williams needing to do that :hs:

I'm not saying Speed is on the level of Vettel, but Vettel had the benefit of timing, coming into STR when they were getting much, much better equipment than Speed and Liuzzi were being given.

He was givin' a reprisal when Red Bull gave him a chance with whatever NASCAR feeder series he was with. He didn't even perform there... :hs:

He made it to the Sprint Cup. :dunno:

Either way, he pulled the real life Cole Trickle. :mamoru:

During the finale of the 2008 ARCA season, Speed and fellow competitor and championship contender, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., were battling for position. Stenhouse hit the rear of Speed's car, sending him into the wall, effectively ending Speed's chances of a good finish, and possibly a Championship. After visiting the pits for repairs, Speed's car was well off the pace, and was lapped within 2 laps of the restart. As Stenhouse came by to lap Speed, Speed accelerated and slammed his car into Stenhouse, sending both cars into the wall. Neither driver was injured, however ARCA officials parked Speed for the day, which ended his chances for a championship.[12] Speed was widely criticized by his fellow competitors, fans and media, as well as NASCAR drivers, for taking dangerous actions on the track in retaliatiion

They want to keep the power the same but change from 2.4 V8. I also hear 10,000RPM limit.

What the hell are all these fag changes to F1? I swear...if engines dip below 10,000RPMs, I will quit watching the sport. Grow some fucking balls, Formula 1.

You guys just DONT UNDERSTAND  to cut costs we must develop a whole new engine to a spec that neither keeps the buttcramped eco mentalists nor the fans happy.

THIS MUST BE DONE.

Just came across this article that Karun wrote on what it is like to be a formula 1 driver during a race weekend. Really goes into a lot of detail that I'm sure most of us had no idea about. If F1 doesn't work out for him he could definitely have a career in being a journalist I think.

Webber needs to stay away from bicycles, it just came out that he drove the last 4 races of the season with a broken shoulder due to crashing before the japanese grand prix riding with his friend.

:werd: I enjoy Karun's insight. For that alone, I hope he gets a ride. And to be fair, he did beat Senna pretty much the entire year :o he has made F1 almost human again just by himself...
