Vettel should get a ban for that.
Thoroughly entertaining race though.

If you watch the replay he didn't purposely turn into him...

Looked intentional to me. I'm also surprised no black flag or race ban. Hamilton brake checking not deserving a penalty also sets a bad precedent

I'm surprised he didn't get black flagged for the side by side bump... that did look intentional. The brake check... even then, Hamilton slowed, but Vettel might've been too close? dunno. That one is a tough call, but the intentional bit... odd.
That race was all over the place.

Apparently stewards have said no brake check. Maybe they were shown telemetry that no brake pressure was registered during that point. F1 cars at full speed generate about 1g decel from aero drag so it is possible that Vettel was caught out by Hamilton lifting. As for slowing down the grid behind the SC, Seb used to do that all the time at RBR, so he is the last person to have the right to complain about it.

But seriously scrappy race for F1. Practically a GP2 race out there..

Looked intentional from most angles and very intentional from the head on shot.

I'm mainly going by the in car view, it doesn't look like he intentionally turns into him.

He didn't turn into him per se. But he didn't try to avoid the collision either. He got hot-headed and decide to road-rage..not cool in any way, considering the data that LH didn't brake check him. Vettel lost the race for himself because the headrest issue would've put Vettel firmly in the lead.
I think the race looked scrappy because the guys are pushing at the limit again...I'm really loving the new generation of tires & cars. More mistakes happen when you're at your physical limits.

Todt pretty unhappy with the Vettel's penalty and might punish him further...I am a devil's advocate and love Vettel out of the car as he has a lot of personality and is a pretty funny guy, but I have to agree. His red-mist and road rage incident is just not cool at all...knocking another car with your car (which okay, he didn't turn in, but he didn't try to avoid either...) is pretty stupid. That's like me going beside another car, waving frantically and letting the car drift into another car...I'd be thrown in jail.

Looks like FIA is having a meeting/investigation regarding this
I'm not quite sure what they plan on doing at this point. If they give a race ban now then it'll be the message they need to send, but at the cost of hurting their product. It will also look like they caved to public opinion instead of sticking with the stewards decision. If they don't penalize him then it sets a bad precedence for all the GPx drivers to follow/emulate.
My guess is a hefty $ fine maybe 50k-150k euro, which Seb/Ferrari will gladly pay to make this all go away. Enough to scare the next generation from trying something similar, but not enough to really hurt a F1 team or top paid driver. Funnier if additional penalty is to force Seb to take some driving safety or anger management class to "clear his record".

JB & Brundle do make a good point here though...with the pit lane, it was 30 secs. Which in normal cases, would've been race over. But LH having headrest issues and having to relinquish his lead because of those problems makes the penalty seem less harsh...if it were a standard race, Vettle's race & championship lead would be wrecked.
Either way, love the emotions that are coming out. This is a great season.

No fine, just a slap on the wrist and an apology to clear his name.

There was a race today. Neat.
Might have been interesting if there was 5 more laps..
