Hamilton brushes off 'jinx' attempt
By Jonathan Noble Friday, October 31st 2008, 13:14 GMT
Lewis Hamilton brushed off an attempt by local comedians to jinx his Brazilian Grand Prix weekend by vowing to race as hard as possible to end rival Felipe Massa's title dreams.
The McLaren driver was appearing at a promotional event for team sponsor Johnnie Walker in Sao Paulo on Thursday night when comedians threw a toy black cat - a bad luck symbol รข€“ onto the stage.
They greeted the stunt with the message: "Hamilton, we are here today to say that we like you very much and we are cheering for you. In the name of all Brazilians who love you, we would like to give you this gift...the black cat."
if he mcbooms who wants to bet that ron will ban cats (and ladders for that matter) from mclaren PR events in the future

Team bosses had to unanimously agree to allow Red Bull to run two distinct liveries in Brazil this weekend.
It emerged on Thursday that, for David Coulthard's final race, his RB4 will be painted predominantly white, in deference to the 'Wings for Life' foundation.
The other Renault-powered Red Bull, driven by Mark Webber, will feature the team's usual dark blue livery.
"We had permission from all the teams to run my car in an independent livery which I think is a first in this modern era of Formula One," Coulthard said at Interlagos.
In 1999, BAR asked for permission to run two distinct liveries, in the colours of British America Tobacco's brands 555 and Lucky Strike, but the teams did not agree.
The situation resulted in the new team running an identical split livery on both cars.
F1's sporting regulations state that both cars belonging to the same team must have the same livery, with only minor differences allowed, including the car number, and the drivers' nationality flag and name.
