its herman tilke's fault.
he builds tracks that add to his archetectural portfolio not to f1 racing. it looks beautiful. shows off the host country and adds too the glitz and glamour of f1 instead of improving the racing.

even older tracks are boring as fuck with no passing... they should just show the cars pitting, that's where all the passing is...
the way things are going, i don't blame the spanish fans for leaving after alonso dnf'ed, there wasn't much to watch anyways...

Felipe Massa's Ferrari team have been reprimanded and fined by the European Grand Prix stewards, but the Brazilian driver has kept his victory at Valencia.
Massa's victory was in doubt after the stewards said they would investigate a pitlane incident after the race.
The Brazilian nearly crashed with Force India's Adrian Sutil when joining the pitlane following his pitstop and the stewards deemed his release had been dangerous.
As a result of the incident Ferrari have been reprimanded and Ferrari fined 10,000 Euro for the "unsafe release from pitstop, although no sporting advantage was obtained."

The Ferrari mechanic hit by Kimi Raikkonen has escaped serious injury following the pitstop incident at the European Grand Prix.
Raikkonen got moving before the refuelling was done, and the man in charge of the rig was hit and ran over by the right rear tyre.
The mechanic was taken to the medical centre, where it was confirmed he had just injured his foot. He was also complaining of back pains.
A Ferrari spokesman said he will be taken to the local hospital for further checks.

Massa blames Sutil for near collision
Sunday 24th August 2008
Felipe Massa has blamed Adrian Sutil for their near collision in the pit lane, which almost cost him the European GP victory.
Massa was under investigation by the Valencia stewards for what the FIA described as an 'unsafe release' by his Ferrari mechanics, which saw him come within inches of collecting Sutil in the pit lane as the two tried to fight over the same piece of tarmac.
Massa, though, backed off rather than risk a second losing the race win for the second successive race weekend, and later blamed Sutil for the incident.
According to the Brazilian, the Force India driver should not have been fighting with him for track position as he was a lap down.
"It was a little bit of a shame to fight with him in the pit lane because he would have had to have let me pass," he said.
"We came so close to the wall and I had to back off which cost me a bit of time. Fortunately the gap was enough (to go on and win the race)."
Asked for more details about the pit stop the Brazilian said: "I stopped behind him on the pit stop but we left together. We were side by side and it was quite narrow so I backed off, I didn't want to take a risk."
Massa survived the incident and went on to clinch the victory by 5.6seconds over Lewis Hamilton. "I think it's amazing so after such a bad weekend we come here and just did a fantastic job," he said.
"Preparing the car on Friday, Saturday morning and chosing the right tyres was pretty difficult especially in qualiyfing.
"Then making pole poisitoin, winning the race and making the fastestt lap. I couldn't ask for more than that especially after a bad result.
"We are moving forward, we have time to work and there are many important races in front of us."
Massa's victory saw him close the gap to Hamilton to six points in the Drivers' standings, however, the near collision with Sutil cost him 10,000 Euros and a reprimand from the stewards.

How does anyone respect this faggot? What a joke.
You'll never see a racing driver admit mistake tho...so it's nothing new.
God this was such a boring race to watch. I went back to bed after lap 50/57. Partly b/c I was up so late, but partly b/c Massa was just pulling a huge lead and I didn't expect anything exciting. The only time F1 is really fun to watch is when they have some rain to spice it up. Otherwise, it's just one big qualifying session.
Here's to next season, b/c I can't wait for reduced aero, slicks, and wider chassis w/ push-to-pass. After seeing a race like this, I'm all about next season's rules...
