Its on and its nearly finished. Porsche pretty much wiping the floor with everything. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th at this stage with 7hrs to go.
New VW Scirocco in 12th and kicking ass, love that shit.

Any chance someone may find Hi res pics after the race?

EDIT: whoops - heres the live feed if anyone wants to watch http://adac.24h-renn...-streaming.html

Pos. Nr. Make Laps Zeit

4 64 BMW Z4 M 144 24:06:12.670
5 26 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 144 24:10:16.619

15 117	VW Scirocco 136 23:57:59.483

Final results. A whole lot of Porsches and then some BMW's. Unexpectedly 2 of the Sciroccos made it into the top 15 (and all 3 finished the race) - not bad for a sub 300bhp FWD car. :werd:

Also its interesting to see the Gumpert Apollo in the race used a KERS system and had H.H.Frentzen driving for them.

Heinz-Harald Frentzen, meanwhile, was celebrating an eye-catching success of his own. The ex-Formula One driver showcased the race technology of the future in the shape of the hybrid-drive Apollo racing car. After his team had worked through some technical problems, Frentzen went back out onto the circuit for the final one-and-a-half hours of the race to take his dashing new racer on a lap or two of honour and thank the fans and race organisers for their support. “I would like to thank all our technical partners and team members,” said Frentzen at the finish. “You can look at our result in two ways. On the one hand, we had two lots of problems with the gearbox in the conventional drive system. But, from a different perspective, the brake energy regeneration concept exceeded our expectations.”

The Manthey Porsche was just ridiculously fast - 8:40 was its fastest race lap, and none of the other top finishers were under 9:00 except 1 lap by the 2nd finisher.

The Scirocco is one good looking car. :mamoru:

The 320d was BMW trying out a possible diesel WTCC car... sneaky.

A shame that the Z4M which was battling for the lead had an accident.

Oh and Sabine Schmitz in 3rd position :werd:

tho if i had to choose between her and VBH i think i'd have to go for sabine just because she not as plump doesnt sound like she's dying for a cough drop.
