Bruno Senna says that unless they clean that shit up real well offline its going to be about as exciting as Valencia. At least it has a nicer backdrop and will go from Day to Night during the race, right? right?

Oh, turns 7, 8, 9, 10 all look like potential out breaking zones...hard to say until we see some cars on the track though.

Is it just me or does it seem like there are an excessive amount of (useless) corners on this track?

:werd:

I can see that too!

Just looks like a boring ass track, seems like it's too geometric and without flow...

It has the signature Tilke 'hairpin leading into hairpin' design.

I think he is OVER RATED. I'll admit Sepang, Shanghai and Sakir are cool tracks, but since then, he has turned out nothing but garbage.

It's fair to say that the current aero packages in F1 already makes it hard to overtake on most tracks, but they have had significantly more effect on his tracks than any other tracks.

He really should stick to designing grandstands, as he obviously knows VERY little about designing a race track at the highest level of motor sports.

Tilke was also involved in the radical overhauls of the Hockenheimring in Germany and most recently the Fuji Speedway in Japan. The alterations that were carried out to the Hockenheimring have generally not been well received by many fans of F1, who believe he has neutered a once great circuit. Tilke has also revealed plans for the reconstruction of Jacarepaguá in Rio, which will have staged the 2007 Pan American Games.

Tilke Engineering is also due to carry out work on Circuit de Catalunya, Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Nürburgring, Silverstone Circuit and La Ciudad del Motor de Aragon (Spain).

ok Catalunya he's only changed the grand stands, Nurbergring he's worked on the first turn complex and a bunch of grandstands, which are already completed and we've already seen the changes in this yrs calendar. I'm hoping he's only doing the pit building / grand stands for Silverstone and Monza. Those two could use some upgrades.

I think after the out lash of his design in recent years, no one on the F1 calendar wants him to touch their track.

There is no need to number out several corners on the track. 10, 12 and 15 come to mind.

I assume its a flat track in the middle of the desert, so this race is going to be more boring than watching paint dry.

Go, stop, go, stop go stop. There is nowhere for the drivers to get any real flow through a series of corners, it is all either straights, flat out sweepers or hard braking for tight corners.

The last track that he designed that I thought was interesting was Turkey and only because of that turn 8.

I like Turkey as well. Besides turn 8 the final corner sequence is pretty interesting, as is Turn 1, sweeping away uphill, then that hard braker to the left. In Quali finding a setup to get you through 8 fast and stable and also through the final series of turns seems most important, and makes for interesting sesssions. Other than that his shit sucks.

I like Turkey because of all the altitude changes its pretty cool, and turn1 is a lot like Interlagos.

Nico Rosberg has confirmed he will leave the Williams team at the end of the 2009 season, after four years with the British squad.

Rosberg has been linked with a switch to the Brawn GP team for several weeks, and he has made it clear he wants to be driving a winning car in 2010.

The 24-year-old confirmed on Abu Dhabi on Thursday that he is to leave Williams after his current contract ends.

Bruno Senna signs with Campos GP Team for 2010

MotorsportMagazin.com - Actually, yes, it should remain secret, what motorsport Magazin.com learned at the beginning of the week, but now it is slowly trickling through in the Spanish media: Since last Sunday evening is the contract between Bruno Senna and Campos finally signed.
