Looks great, but the racing is going to get worse with the new aero. A step forward with the wider tires, but a step backwards because cars are less likely to be able to follow each other in corners via pre-2009 rules.
If they kept the wider tires, keep the same aero as today and re-introduced refueling...that would be 3 big steps in the right direction. Qualifying-pace to be pretty much par for the course compared to older V8 cars but race-pace is way off because they're in tire/fuel/engine savings mode the entire time.

What if this really is Rosberg's year
It'll never be Rosberg's year...

Dunno... but the only interesting parts of the race were if Rico and Kimi would catch up in the ten 10-15 laps or not...
Otherwise, no drama...
kvyat vs max was a good fight

That said... I'm actually surprised the rumored buyout amount is sub 1.5 billion... that seems cheap?

Because PR guys never lie.
Though 1.5 billion does seem quite cheap, further substantiating this as wild-ass-conjecture/rumor.

Does McLaren = 2 * Ducati? Anyway we'll see how this plays out, but I'd say it would be less surprising if the deal was sponsorship of the F1 team than a full blown acquisition.

If anything, I'd probably say it's with McLarens Automotive Tech department that they're interested, and less the race teams/road going cars... if I remember correctly McLaren makes a bunch of sensors for different race series.
Kinda like Williams's tech group and their flywheel hybrid system development... didn't Porsche work with them on it?

I don't think Apple really sponsors anything or anything?
True..
McLaren does have a technology (engineering) services group, but apple likely is more interested in automotive manufacturing than general engineering and design know how. Which is why a small volume niche manufacturer seems an odd acquisition.

Apple isn't going racing.
I bet this is a technical hookup for the streetgoing maccas before they jump into full production for themselves. Think Motorola rockr.

This weekend is really helping that claim. Straight fight with Lewis is no chance, but with all the reliability issues Lewis is having... I'll admit it might happen.
And wtf Vettel.
And Merc again going from the back of the field to podium.
