Renault engines get to keep using cold blowing for reliability reasons. Red Bull should pull well ahead of all the other teams now.

If their cars can't reliably run without the off-throttle then give them the option to de-tune their engines to reliability or force them to point their exhausts UP. Simple.FIALOL

Can't violate their rules on the engine freeze. If their cars can't reliably run without the off-throttle then give them the option to de-tune their engines to reliability or force them to point their exhausts UP. Simple.

But the gap in quali is now gone, and we all know that in prior races the race pace of the Ferrari was closer, so this could be an interesting race.Mercedes can still run 4 cylinders due to something along the lines of reducing cylinder pressure and KERS harvesting.

Formula 1's ruling body, the FIA, has decided to backtrack on its blown diffuser clampdown following days of controversy over the matter.
The FIA said on Saturday afternoon that if all Formula 1 teams agree, the clampdown will be withdrawn from the next race in Germany.

I'm not too sure. If Vettel did his usual beating of Webber by .2 then the gap would be similar to Valencia.
I think it depends if Vettel got a good lap in or not.

sorry mark
Red Bull Racing: We have no team orders and our drivers are allowed to freely race, unless our preferred driver is ahead.
