Sebastian Vettel's attempt to get back in the fight for the 2009 title went awry on Friday afternoon, when his Red Bull ground to a halt in the second Turkish practice session.

Initial reports from the paddock were of a driveshaft problem. "When we got the car back it turned out it was the engine," said the 21-year-old, who still ended the 90-minute session fifth, less than four-tenths off the pace of the pacesetter Heikki Kovalainen. “I’ll be relying on Mark’s data from today – having one car running on Friday isn’t ideal. ”

Vettel is third in the championship with 23 points just ahead of team-mate Mark Webber but trails Rubens Barrichello by 12 points and Jenson Button by 28.

I've been sitting here patiently waiting for a fucking torrent of quali to download, been avoiding anything to do with F1 so I wouldn't be spoiled, was talking on the phone, just hung up and right when I hung up, I was looking at what time it was, I get the SPEED txt msg saying the qualifying order
