renault admitted guilt and helped with the investigation rather than mclaren, who lied in the first wmsc

It's still inconsistent and political. This is the 2nd time Renault has broken 151c (remember that they had other team's documents the same year McMerc did, but no one seemed to make a big deal about it), and neither time has really ended poorly for them.

oooo... good call...
regarding Alonso and Renault, did he have a contract with them already for the next season or two? is there a clause in Alonso's contract that stipulates if Renault screw up somehow he's free to go?

I believe Emo has a contract through '10, but can opt out at any time.

They have to contribute heavily to FIA safety plans - that could be a lot of money. It will come out in time, I think it's too early to judge how harsh this ban was. I'm happy Flava Flav got a life ban - it sounds as if the FIA found his intentions were clear compared to Renault's.

...or it could be no more than what Renault currently spends to the fund. Chances are the amount will never be disclosed.

This eye for an eye shit is getting really out of hand...

Rumors are that Briatorie wants to set up a rival series now.

Flav also owns the Queens Park Rangers Superleague team too.. I believe Superleague is also FIA sanctioned.

Either way if he wants a rival series he'll need to find a sanctioning body. Maybe he'll buddy up with the ACO to set up GP1.

Is there any real evidence against these 2 yet? How come I haven't seen anything from the FIA that proves Renaults guilt...just a "witness x" seems to me like this entire situation was based on hearsay...

and I like this quote from Hamilton:

"I wish him well, I'm just trying to be positive for him because because I know how tough situations can be, and I'm sure him and his family don't feel so great right now," he said.

"All I can do is send some positive energy and hope for the best for them."

Didn't want those wins anyway.

I guess that means they will repaint the cars for Suzuka? I mean theres no time for that now.

what happens if you run a sponsor decal for a company that doesn't sponsor you anymore?

Yeah, wonder how much was upfront and how much was monthly payments.

I bet they run the same colors, just no ING stickers.
