ABC is only taking the western hemisphere races - so no tape delays.  Yay!

Now all we need is competition.

We need more than just competition...

Sexier looks and better sounds needs to be considered as well.

At least they are repairing the fan interaction part somewhat.

Scumbag F1
2016/2017 - drivers can’t change their helmet design during the season, it confuses the viewers as to who’s driving the car
2018 - mandates a halo that blocks the helmet from viewers

:ugh:

Isn't it up to the teams to choose where to place the camera? Feel like this may have been a dig by RBR at the FIA.

If I remember correctly there are a few set places on the car where the cameras can go. But its up to the teams to decide where to run the cameras on weekends. If a camera isnt used on a specific weekend then they use dummy units in the same size, weight and shape as the camera housings.

The over the shoulder camera might have not been thought out all that well. Its in the same spot as always.

Poor STR.  With alonso's luck, I was honestly expecting honda to crack their engine issues.

Merc still looking uncompetitively fast.  Why did Bottas end up so low?

Feel bad for haas, they were a look to score a lot of points today. That wheel nut or gun is going to need a redesign. 2 cross threads is very unusual.

First few laps had some decent action, the last half of the race however was quite the snoozefest... The Sky coverage part wasn't too terrible, but the ESPN side if it was fucking atrocious...  Commercials ever 3 laps or so, no warning when the commercials were coming, missing the restart etc...

F1 TV or Live or whatever it's called can't get here soon enough...

Even without the retirements that would have been a decent points haul for STR, so yeah I'd agree.

My guess was Australia was a track that didn't suit the characteristics of the car, Sakhir was prob one that should have been a bad track for them but surprisingly they were fast enough and the battle right behind prob slowed that group down enough that Gasly didn't have to go into defensive mode.

Race 4 and every team in the paddock has scored points already.  Only Grosjean (it'll happen...) and Sirotkin (maybe not) haven't scored points yet this year.

So does this craziness calm down a little when we get back to europe?  Or are the cars finally near parity, and we're due a full season of unpredictable racing? :x:

I think there is definitely a lot of parity between P7-P16, which is about the operating range of a McLaren.
