The new AMR car makes me wet...damn it looks good!

When the RB came out, I was bummed bc I was thinking it was gonna look too much like a spec series and that it looked too similar to the tech demo car...turned out it was a repainted tech demo car afterall, lol.

I'm digging the McLaren that just launched today... I'll try to find high res launch photos for each car as I did in previous years... especially with all the changes...

:coold:
The 2022 cars look quite a bit, lower including the side crash structures and sidepods.

Also... Masi out... and 2 people will alternate as race director for each race...

I understand the 2 people are good at their job, but in different ways... so every other race will have different judgments...

meh

Bathtub monocoque.

I wonder if they are doing something clever with venting at high speed to stall the wings for straightline speed?

Holy crap didn't see this view previously :eek3:

So FIA kind of admit Masi messed up without actually publicly saying he messed up

I'm not about Masi getting fired.

It was the fucked up rules that led to Masi getting blamed in the first place and to me, he's just the scapegoat.  I still think he's probably best for the job still and we'll continue to have problems until they close the loopholes.

F me, the 80s vibes from the Ferrari is so strong

Indeed it was the system (which included Masi) which failed rather than just Masi, as he had too little support and protection. Giving the team bosses direct access to shout in his ears while he's in the middle of making high pressure decisions made no sense

But, in my view, Masi certainly wasn't blameless - I don't believe there's any room in the regulations for what Masi decided to do with letting just the lapped cars between 1st and 2nd pass but not the cars between 2nd and 3rd etc. Of course he had a hard job to do, but I'm sure he was paid well to do that hard job, and he made a mess of it.

F1 needed a scape goat for Hamilton getting robbed and Masi was the easy target.
