"We just had a meeting about it and he basically said he did it on purpose," said Hamilton.
"He said he could have avoided it. He said 'I did it to prove a point'. He basically said I did it to prove a point.
"And you don't have to just rely on me. Go and ask Toto [Wolff] and Paddy [Lowe] who are not happy with him as well."

Nico is growing an ego now that he can see a title is within reach. Should be interesting team battle for the rest of the season. In the mean time Ric is gaining points while these guys are slugging it out. Those double points at the last race might be an upset.

Been supporting Nico but honestly would prefer if Rico came back to nip them both!

It did look like Nico was backing off to me...just not quite enough.
He said in team briefings afterwards (at least according to Wolff) that he wanted to make a statement...Quite a bold and Senna/MS like approach.
Seriously though, if they knock each other out of the championship, there's no team in the world after this that will allow cars to race freely...this is the first time in modern F1 that team-mates have been this close that have also been allowed to race freely for the championship. All those years of Team-Orders will be justified :\

It's easy for people sitting outside the cars to say Rosberg deliberately hit Hamilton's rear wheel with his front wing. But I cannot believe for one moment a driver would consciously damage his own car.
Drivers know you can't nudge someone with your nose, because you lose your front wing. It's just not a viable strategy.
... Rosberg wanted to prove a point, to be more robust with Hamilton. This was his first opportunity, but he was a bit ham-fisted and got it wrong.
Why? Because he is just not as good a wheel-to-wheel racer as Hamilton

Seriously question: once Whitmarsh got moved out of team principle role, what exactly did he do for the past 8 months?A McLaren spokesman told AUTOSPORT: "McLaren and Martin Whitmarsh have agreed amicably to part company."

If it's anything like Chevron, he was made to do something demeaning. Firing people is a lot of paperwork and opens you up to lawsuits. Why do that when you can reassign them to something that will so demoralize them that they will quite as soon as they find other employment?

Good read. That about sums it up perfectly. Definitely one of the best years of F1 in awhile...

If you need someone to play the percentages, keep calm, and cheat during a race weekend, you'd pick Rosberg.
