I'll take the results. A Ferrari 1/2 would've been better, but with no Merc domination, I won't be picky.

The race and results were awesome, but even with all that happened Hammy was charging strong at the end... Red Bull definitely looked strong!

Well that was entertaining...some of it for all the wrong reasons. I wonder if Jules being on their mind caused some of the un-forced errors seen.
However, Ferrari had real pace this time out and both cars had the number on MB. At no point were the MB's faster than either Ferrari's, so that's extremely promising...but Hungary is not as dependant on the engine...with Spa being full throttle over 70% of the lap, I think we'll see MB back at the top again. I hope Ferrari can go into the break and find some more pace to challenge the MBs further!

Everyone (including me...) have always talked about Vettel "getting lucky" with a Newey car and how he never has any bad luck with a broken car... Perhaps it's his work behind the scenes and the intangibles that no one ever talks about that allows him to have a running car while his teammates have bad "luck." I'm impressed...

What the fuck is going on in France?
Jenson Button and his model wife Jessica Michibata were GASSED by burglars who broke into their St Tropez villa and stole her £250,000 diamond engagement ring while they were out cold

Spa put me to sleep. Altho the glimpses of the cars over Eau Rouge was seriously cool looking...lots of speed and watching the cars move all over place over the top of the hill shows how hairy that place is.
Though I'm happy for Grosjean grabbing 3rd place...

I didn't even watch qualifying, F1 is dead to me now... Didn't even care to look at the results, but when I did I wasn't surprised...

Give the RedBulls Merc engines, and hopefully Ferrari can catch up... gotta at least have 4-6 cars to make it interesting... Everyone else is grid filler :/
Pull the aero so these guys can get nose to tail, other wise that 1+ second of clear air while following won't ever get great passing...
Spa is my favorite track, and it's a shame when even racing there doesn't get me excited

Eh. I think F1 has its ups & downs. We're just in a down, and I think things will change soon. One thing about MB is at least they are open to change unlike RB when they dominated. But the sport definitely needs to open up engine testing again. Plus news of ground effects are in the talks for '17 making the front wing less important and allowing cars to follow in dirty air better.
In more important news, Justin Wilson is in a coma after being hit in the head by a nose cone... :\

I think the days of open cockpits are over...I hope Justin recovers. This is like Massa's incident but 10x worse.

RIP JWils...
Doing some reading, Indy cars are at least one generation behind F1 in terms of safety in a lot of aspects...tho I think this is pretty much impossible to beat unless it was a closed cockpit car. But maybe I'm wrong.
I'd love to see a case analysis study on how many times an open cockpit car has saved someone vs the times it has resulted in a injury/death.

Seems like a closed cockpit could have saved Justin and Maria. Not sure anything could have helped Jules

I'm not sure it would've helped Maria either actually. She basically did the same thing Jules did with the truck gate...

I thought she was going at a much slower speed, that she essentially dropped the clutch.

Great MotoGP race today...esp if you're a Rossi fan! Woot!
At one point when Lorenzo was down in 6th, I thought the point spread in the championship was going to be much greater. And it could've easily been that way if the rookie on the LRC Honda didn't take out himself and Crutchlow...
Anyways Rossi needs to find some speed in the dry for the remaining races or Lorenzo is going to come back strong, or pray for more rain.

Gotta give it to Rossi, 15 years in the premiere class and he's not only outlasted most of his competition, he's still taking it to the new guys... he hasn't been off the podium yet, and he's either led or been tied on points the whole championship so far...
The Moto2 race was pretty intense as well... check out what's left of the wet rear... the slowmo's looked epic, chunks of rubber flying off the tires...

So tired of RB's quit threat. They're like a pouting child, every year they demand to win...I'm okay with them leaving the sport.

They are contracted for the next eleventy billion years, unless they find a buyer they can pout all they want.
Also forgot to put Rossi in the pff1 teams fml
