Watching the post race today while I'm editing...

The fucking hypocrisy by the British Media...when Lewis ran Rick into the wall at Monaco, it is okay.  But when Nico ran Lewis wide in the last race - Lewis should've been given space.  Both had a wheel along side the other car...

I still don't know why Hamilton didn't have to give up the position when he basically cut the chicane and still Ricciardo was able to get a front wing alongside. I thought if you gain an advantage by cutting the track then it is required that you give up the position? It wasn't even "under investigation"..

Was just watching the highlights on the F1 site since I missed the race.

It went under investigation but race stewards deemed it a racing situation.  What surprised me was Christian Horner not fighting the call...at the end of the race, he just let it go according to the Sky Broadcast.

But yeah...IMO, the appropriate call for cutting the course should've been at least a time penalty so that LH had to push hard to get ahead of the time penalty to take the win otherwise forfeit the position to Ricky or even Perez.

:nono: the appropriate call would be for lewis to concede he gained an advantage, let ricciardo by and then fight to overtake him legitimately on the track. we want to see drivers going wheel to wheel, not driving to a delta.

Moto2 rider died today during free practice 2 in Barcelona.
Crashed at turn 12 at speed, bike went into air fence, Luis went right behind it, except the way the bike bounced it landed right on his chest.

:(

It seems to me that Rosberg's championchip lead lived its life like a candle in the wind.

I wouldn't bet on it. Nico seems to win in spurts, but never consistently enough over a full season to win a chip.

Yup. I'd be pleasantly surprised if Massa Rosberg wins the chip this year over Hamilton.

I dunno...I feel like RB & Ferrari cannot get their acts together and have been giving the wins to MB more than anything...I don't think MB has the advantage they quite had anymore.  Nico struggling to keep up with the rest of the field shows that as much now.

The last lap dive from Rosberg was great for TV.  Max really knows how to drive and place the car defensively...

Ferrari/RB on a perfect day can match MB on a so-so day for pace. But it's no contest when Lewis or Nico are in the zone. The tire operating window is maybe too small to show that consistently, but Ferrari/RB might work really well on 1 tire compound, but the Merc works reasonably well on ALL of the compounds every weekend.

As far as Rosberg struggling to 'keep up', the MB seems to be much faster in clean air, but that isn't a surprise to anybody.

Rosberg = Massa 2.0? :o

Though to be honest, if we have a season finale like '08, I'm happy to oblige.

That's what I'm thinking... if he had another teammate sure, but Hamilton is too strong for Rosberg over a season.

And thanks Fox for such amazing bullshit coverage of the 24 Hours... Everything is on FS2... Race start was supposed to be on FS1, but they changed that last night, finish was supposed to be on FS1, but they changed it too... so you get hours 2-6 and 18-22 on FS1... meh.
