Mosley's lawyers issue statement
09/04/2008
Steeles, the legal firm action for Max Mosley, this afternoon issued the following:
On Friday April 4 2008, Max Mosley issued legal proceedings in the High Court of Justice against News Group Newspapers Limited claiming unlimited damages, including aggravated and exemplary damages, for breach of confidence, unlawful invasion of his privacy and misuse of information following publication in the News of the World on 30 March 2008 of allegations concerning his private life.
Today Mr Justice Eady gave his view on the matter in response to Mr Mosley's application for an interim injunction. In his Judgement Mr Justice Eady stated that publication by News Group of photographs and video film "undoubtedly" engaged Mr Mosley's right to privacy under the European Convention of Human Rights and stated that he had "little difficulty" in deciding that there was not sufficient public interest in the publication.
With regard to the News of the World's argument that the photographs demonstrated elements of Nazism, although he stated that the court could draw its own conclusion at trial, he indicated that, on the basis of the material put forward by the News of the World, "it certainly appears very weak", and, "it may be the Court will in due course hold that there is nothing in the allegations of Nazi role-play", as Mr Mosley contends.
Eady J, with "reluctance" and "despite the fact that there is no legitimate public interest in its further publication", felt unable to order an injunction only because of the widespread dissemination of the invasive material on various websites.
Mr Mosley intends to vigorously pursue News Group Newspapers Limited for damages and welcomes the Judges comments. At Mr Mosley's request directions have been set for an early trial. Whilst Mr Mosley has every intention of getting the largest sum possible in damages from the publishers of the News of the World, so that they should be deterred from doing this to others in the future. Mosley intends to donate any damages in the case to the FIA Foundation which promotes road safety, safety in motorsport and the environment."

"Of course I saw the video! I loved that. I did. I did," the Columbian told The Associated Press when asked about the clip.
"It is a laughing matter! You know, when I first heard about it, it was shocking.
"But then he decided to play it like nothing has happened and it's just so hilarious."
The former McLaren and Williams driver says he found Mosley's "Slap me, baby?" comment amusing, but refused to get involved in the debate about whether Mosley should quit.
"I do have an opinion on it, but I am not going to say it, and I am glad I am not there."

Words from New Zealand
Motorsport New Zealand is the latest body to comment on FIA boss Max Mosley. Ross Armstrong, general manager of the organization, told Radio New Zealand that it would be an "excellent result" if Mosley resigned rather than being pushed out. Mosley had been invited to the New Zealand Automobile Association's transport and environment summit here in June but organisers this week withdrew that invitation. The event clashes with the planned FIA General Assembly on June 3 when Mosley faces a vote of no confidence.
The vote, by a secret ballot, follows calls from Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Israel, Canada, and the United States for Mosley to resign. Thus far the only public support for Moslrey has come from Brazil and from the United Arab Emirates.

Apr.8 (GMM) Another domino has fallen for Max Mosley, in the form of the Austrian motor racing federation, the OAMTC (Osterreichische Automobil, Motorrad und Touring Club).
As the fallout from the sex scandal continues, the member club has called into question 67-year-old Mosley's ability to continue as FIA president.
"I fear that it will now be difficult for Mosley to exercise his duties," OAMTC secretary general Hans Peter Halouska is quoted as saying by the Vorarlberger Nachrichten newspaper.
One ray of hope for Mosley, however, emerged in the form of Force India team co-owner Vijay Mallya, who admits that the details of the affair "shocked him".
The Indian billionaire, though, rejected suggestions that the scandal could lead to an exodus of F1's financial backers.
Referring to his team's existing sponsors, Mallya said: "They don't care or know who Mosley is."

Porsche: scandal makes F1 unattractive
Car makers Porsche and Volkswagen have ruled out entering Formula One, saying high costs and a sex scandal involving motorsport chief Max Mosley made the sport unattractive to them.
"300 million euros a year - that is just burning money," Volkswagen chairman Ferdinand Piech told German news magazine Stern on Friday.
"And after the affair with Max Mosley and the women it would not be very savoury to get involved (in Formula One) now," added his Porsche counterpart Wolfgang Porsche.
Porsche are in the process of acquiring a majority shareholding in Volkswagen and both German companies have been seen as potential Formula One entrants in the past.
Photographs and a video of Mosley involved in what British Sunday newspaper News of the World described as a Nazi-style orgy with prostitutes have led to strong criticism of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) boss, particularly in Germany.
German Formula One car makers BMW and Mercedes, which owns 40 percent of McLaren, issued a joint statement this month questioning the 68-year-old Englishman's future at the helm of the sport's governing body.
Mosley has denied any Nazi connotations and is claiming unlimited damages against the News of the World. He has resisted calls to resign.
The Briton has also filed legal action in Paris to prevent the News of the World video being accessed from France via the Internet.
Judicial sources said on Friday that a ruling was expected on April 29 after the French judge considered the request.

What a crock of shit. Total Cop-out by Porsche and their German bitches VW.
Fuck, if VW made a car, it'd have electrical problems before it even completed the parade lap.
Maybe they can get JPM to drive for them.
