Same shit, different weekend. I still think this ECU lockdown doesn't really do anything until the blown exhaust ban at Silverstone takes effect. No reason why teams can't just keep the quali maps as a setting they can select for quali, then switch to a race map on Sunday.

No matter what they do, RB still seems to be head and shoulders on a single flying lap. But the race is always a different beast and I'm hoping LH runs into the wall, and Button glides by both under the confusion
I think that's the greatest thing about this season - pole doesn't mean a lock-out win anymore. How awesome is that?

It's honestly the smart move...not fun to watch, but smart.Heidfeld and Sutil didn't even bother in Q3
Totally having Montreal hangover btw, found myself playing games on my cell in Q3 . Doesn't help that it's Valencia,

Pirelli is calling for tire rule changes to avoid that sort of thing. It's honestly the smart move...not fun to watch, but smart.

I def. have a Montreal hangover...I haven't even looked at those photos yet, been so goddamn busy. I might just post them without PP, but my artistic side won't let me

I think its if they don't set a q3 time they have to start on the tires they used in q2.What kind of rule changes? An extra set of softs that can only be used in Quali? Thinking it over...that's really the only way.

That won't really punish them if they ran softs in the Q2 and still gives them a fresh soft for the race though, right?

I think it replaces one of their sets for the race. That won't really punish them if they ran softs in the Q2 and still gives them a fresh soft for the race though, right?

Was this the first time in history that 24 cars finished a race?

also SPEED/Fox has lost a viewer for F1, from now on I'm streaming BBC, even though I prefer the SPEED commentary team BBC is better in every other way, no commercials, way more coverage and most importantly they show every race live...

Yonson I'm with you. I refuse to watch the Fox races now, and much prefer the BBC stream. I still think they should ditch Varsha and Hobbes, bring Windsor into the booth with Matchette and Diffy.

Good race by fred
Crazy points lead by vettel
Hamilton is the only one that can beat vettel according to him. Except he's in 4th in points so basically he can't beat the 3 guys in front of him.

Snoozefest for sure.

I really like the SPEED commentary team of Varsha, Hobbs, Matchette and Buxton, I'm just not going to watch it anymore. I just fast forwarded through the Fox coverage...
No commercials for the first 7 laps or so then after that for every 2 - 4 laps they televise they miss 1 - 2 laps for a commercial, seriously?!?! FUCK YOU SPEED/FOX, I'm done...
Not to mention they only televise 2 hours of coverage total (over 1/3 of that is fucking commercials!), I watched 4 hours of uninterrupted BBC coverage this morning, unbelievable...

The commercials ruin it, however, you're right.
The Beeb crew isn't perfect. Their pre race grid walk with EJ and that tall dork was just awful. Nico just flat denied him an interview, and JB bailed on him and was just contemptuous as hell towards him. I was loling.
