So I officially cut the cord to live TV this weekend... next race, I’m going to try that F1 Live app/subscription plan. $10/month... figure I’ll finish up the rest of the season. No reason to pay $50/month for DirectTV Now for live TV if everything I watch is DVR’d anyways.

But yes, at this point, I’m cheering for Lewis to start breaking records. Bottas and Ferrari can’t mount a challenge.

Pretty good season for sure...but I'd like it to be even more exciting than that, if anything.  The aero rules need so much work - but I don't think aero rules alone will fix things - track design also plays a big role.  Paul Ricard is one of the worse on the calendar, tied with Monaco.

F1 TV subscription seems pretty cool. Signed up this morning and used the app...

streaming seems nice and clear, and watching the onboards side by side with the feed is interesting.

Would I get this if I had cable tv, probably not, but as a cord cutter paying $10/month during the season seems reasonable.

That was an emotional rollercoaster.

I've watched this at 0.25x like 50 times and I'm still amazed how much attention to detail it takes to pull this off.  Watch the green lights on the torque guns...

Dude.  The gun is on the nut as the tire is being moved toward the hub.  Damn.

That was an AMAZING race!!!  Damn, if they were all that exciting no one would complain...

That guy on the right front was on the ball, if the other 3 had been as fast as he was it would have been at least another tenth or 2 quicker!

Also, Netflix were in the Mercedes garage this weekend...

Excellent race, also fun because Honda with McLaren could barely get a top 10, 2 seasons with RedBull/STR and they are podium regulars and race winners...

I know some of you were Nick fans, so sorry, not sorry. I think his name was better than his results. Glad to see Ocon back.

Also, Jessi Combs :wtc: I enjoyed watching her on TV/online :hs:

He was decent and had one or two breakthrough performances, but yes, time to let someone else give it a go. Hulkenburg was quickly going towards a Nick Heidfeld / Heikki Kovaleinen trajectory

He is driving well... Vettel is doing Vettel mistakes without backing it up with old school Vettel driving...

Vettel's head game is nowhere to be found these days sadly....it's painful to watch his fall from grace. I've always defended him, but it's hard to defend him right now...at this point, I just want him to finish on a high and retire. :(

I do not like the rules calling right now, why was it okay for Max to shove Charles a few races back but Charles defense on Lewis ' a little on the edge.' It makes no sense to me...

I think the black-and-white flag rule was introduced after Max's shove. That being said, I would have hoped that had the rule have been around back then they would have ruled that 'on the limit' as well.
