Bottas' excuse for hitting the wall on the restart was that he was watching Russel attack Hamilton in his mirrors :drama:

They already Americanized it with the Jersey Shore of motorsports, Drive To Survive.

Las Vegas:  Hold my beer!

That whole police escort, the football helmets on the podium were super cringey.  I guess I never realized how cringey it was to wear a Cowboys hat in Austin until now haha

Race was boring - if it wasn't for the safety car, it woulda ended boring.

Not a fan of the Americanizationing myself.  The people that are allowed on the pit walk definitely need to be vetted more.  This pretty much sums up my thoughts on it.

Yep. FOM should basically set the expectation that if you are given a grid pass you have to do interviews or be permabanned.

I'm sure if Carlos and Charles get away clean they're going to give checo some bullshit strategy so Max ends up on the podium.

My thoughts post Baku

 - Failrari back at it...

 - Marc needs to figure out their porpoising issues

 - Red Bull / Max leagues ahead of everyone else

 - Russel is has now beaten Lewis 7 times in a row... only other person to do that was Nico... 1 more time and Russel has the new record.

That new rule to protect drivers health really backfired in MB's face lol.  But I think it needed to be done, driving the car looked absolutely painful.

What a great race Montreal was, it had me on the edge of my seat and that was a totally dry race.   That slow-speed traction the RB-Honda has is just amazing...on 8-laps newer tires, Chili couldn't get past him...

Yeah I guess Mercedes were hoping FIA would simply impose a minimum ride height for all cars, but I guess the rule might only force those with too much porpoising or bouncing to raise their ride height

I suppose FIA could simply use well known norms for hazardous levels of vertical acceleration to define the allowed level of porpoising and bouncing.

This is crazy

"I am a dual national Brit-Brazilian (Brazilian mother, British father), and native speaker of both languages. 'Neguinho' is exactly the same as 'N****r'. - Yes, 'neguinho' is an old-fashioned slang term, and still used by both white and black people. However, a white person would NEVER refer to a black person as 'neguinho' to their face. That proves it is, ultimately, a derogatory term. - In the same way, while black people may refer to each other as 'n****r' (especially in American English), a white person would once again NEVER refer to a black person as 'n****r' to their face. While there are nuances in each language, this proves both words carry the same weight. Piquet is obviously biased towards Verstappen, given Max dates his daughter Kelly. But this comment on a live interview is totally unacceptable. Glad it is being brought into the spotlight."

Being Brazilian myself and understanding the context, I can see it's an age issue, cause I remember my grandmother and others in her age bracket using that type of language normally.... it's not exactly the "same" as "N", but it is a derogatory term in any context for the word... you'd use it to speak down to someone because you think lesser of them, not so much a racist comment per-se , and it's usually towards younger kids, not of someone of Hamiltons age. That said, he's wrong, completely wrong, with no defense of what he thinks he meant by what he said.

Well it only got worse.

So i get that May be it wasn't necessarily racist but the fact that he's referring to Max by name and Lewis by that word which is meant to be lower and lesser as a person... Ya gtfo NP. No one remembers you for your titles, just how stupid, racists and homophobic you are. Glad he's banned.

I'm with Lewis on this one. Why do we even give these people a platform. He sounds like an old shitbag and no amount of public shaming is going fix it if that is how he really feels.
