Former car guy Michael Schumacher was spit off a motorcycle this afternoon in Cartagena. Reportedly he was out for a while after the spill but came back on-line while in the bone wagon ride to the local hospital. Reports vary: He might have two broken ribs and the inability to get the REM song "Losing My Religion" out of his head, only this time it's from a slight concussion. He also might just have a broken wrist.

Seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher was taken to hospital earlier today following a motorbike accident in Spain.
The German was taking part in a private test for the International German Superbike Championship Cartegena when he fell from his machine.
The 40-year-old was subsequently taken to the Virgen Arrixaca Hospital in Murcia as a precautionary measure.
"Today I had an accident at the biking tests in Cartagena, and to be safe I went to a hospital," writes Schumacher on his website. "I was driving down start-finish and when breaking into the first corner I hit some bumps which made me fall.
"The checks in the hospital showed nothing and I am fine," he adds, "therefore I went back home at the evening."

Michael SchumacherMichael Schumacher has escaped uninjured from a motorcycle testing crash in Cartegena, while preparing for the International German Superbike Championship.
The seven-times Formula One world champion was taken to hospital for checks after falling from his Holzhauer Racing Honda Fireblade, but issued a statement on his website saying that he was fine and that he had sustained no serious injuries.
"Today I had an accident at the biking tests in Cartagena, and to be safe I went to a hospital," he said. "The checks showed nothing and I just wanted to say that I am fine."
A spokesperson for the former Ferrari driver told autosport.com that despite widespread media speculation that Schumacher had been knocked out in the crash, 'he was definitely not unconscious when he was brought to the ambulance'.
It is unclear whether Schumacher will remain in hospital overnight for further precautionary checks.
Autosport.com understands that Schumacher lost control under braking for the bumpy first turn, but that up until that point he had been setting competitive times in what was an 'open' tyre test.

bumps on a straightaway flinging schumi off his bike? Sign of the apocalypse I think.
