My wife and I are thinking about going...This would be EPIC. My son Ethan, he's 7, would die to go. He's fluent in German, and he'd prolly kill to see the Ring and another F1 race. EPIC I say!

Tickets are so expensive...but I would imagine it would be worth it. How many have been to a EU race? I've been to the USGP, but never any others. I told my wife we should hold of a little to see if the Canadia GP is back on for the end of the season. I would have a reason to see family and visit the motherland.

i've only been to sepang other than indianapolis... GP tickets are generally super cheap for the USGP compared to races around other parts of the world. i think i remember my dad paying $400USD per grandstand ticket to the inaugural sepang gp, and i was sitting on the front straight across from the pit garages in front of the checkered flag.

:dunno: Went to Spa and it was totally worth it.

I was gonna ask how your kid learned deutsch :o...were you born there or here? Trying so hard to learn, but Rosetta stone will only take you so far and there are hardly any speakers around here :wtc:

I think there will be a lot of us in Montreal if Canada gets restored

My wife is of German origin. She has been speaking German most of her life and is nearly fluent. My son, Ethan, is in a language immersion school here in Charlotte. They bring native speakers over on a work Visa for one school year to teach the kids. His entire day is done in German, not much Engrish is used during the day. One thing though, Ethan is uber smart. His teacher said he speaks German like he only speaks German. I left him in DE for two weeks last summer and he was out playing with the neighbors and they didn't know he was an American. I know most of the bad German words, and how to order a beer...but in DE they speak a LOT of Engrish.

Can't wait to go back.

Shanghai Grandstand seats are also 400 bucks a piece. I went to the first two and it was well worth it.
