A mechanic has been reportedly dismissed by Toro Rosso following an incident before Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix which resulted in Jaime Alguersuari, who had qualified a strong 11th, having to start the race from the pit lane due to a coolant leak.
According to Spanish reports, an unidentified mechanic apparently discovered the leak with five hours to spare but did nothing but regularly wipe up the water puddle.
The problem therefore only came to the attention of the team after Alguersuari left the pits to form up on the grid. There was then not enough time to replace the radiator before the pit lane closed. "My hopes of having a good day disappeared," Alguersuari said afterwards.

McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has delivered a withering assessment of Michael Schumacher's comeback to the sport, saying that he now felt that there was "little value" in beating the seven-time champion, given his poor performances this season.
Nobody cares about him any more.
Schumacher returned to the grid for 2010 after initially retiring from the sport at the end of the 2006 season. But having joined Mercedes GP, he has struggled for performance.
When his comeback was initially announced, Hamilton gushed that it would be a "honour and privilege" to race with the man who dominated the sport to a ludicrous extent through the last decade.
The McLaren driver had never raced against Schumacher, with Hamilton making his F1 debut in 2007, the season after Schumacher originally retired.
But after spending most of the season shuffling around in the midfield, Schumacher's cachet in Hamilton's eyes seems to have dropped somewhat, with the 2008 champion now suggesting that there was no longer a thrill to fighting on track with Schumacher.
"In the beginning I was very excited about his comeback," Hamilton told the German TZ newspaper this week.
But he mourned: "Now it's not the same because he is mostly racing behind me. In this respect there is no value in my beating him."

Sebastien Loeb is within sight of his seventh consecutive World Rally Championship title, as he continues to hold a comfortable lead in the Rally of France.
The Frenchman just has to complete two more stages to clinch his title, and his 60th rally win, and is still 37.8 seconds in front despite driving very cautiously this morning.
Schumacher is smalltime

Honestly, after looking at the McLaren 'media' this year (driving the new supercar, hanging out in the old car warehouse), I don't see the big deal in media days.
Me thinks most media days are not cool like that...
