Seriously though, I don't understand why they kept going on about how all is lost, etc..

8 point deficit in the new points format is like 3 points in the old format. Theres barely anything in it. In the old system if you were going into the last race down 3 points from the leader that would be considered a pretty damn good position to be in.

Especially considering RBR went 1-2 at Abu Dhabi last year, they own this track on paper.

RBR are very confident of a 1-2 and if it backfires on them it will be hilarious.

they need a 1-2 in a specific order depending on which driver wins...

This is making me have a heart attack.

RB just needs to win this thing. I don't care who. They need to pull off a 1-2. Maybe Lewis will keep Alonso behind him? I dunno...too many variables :noes:

Macca haven't really shown the race pace to keep up with the RBR/Ferraris. Honestly unless something goes wrong I think RBR needs to count on finishing 1-2 w/ Webber in 1st to win the WDC.

Something else I've noticed this weekend. I think Webbo is a dick with all his #2 comments. Seb is certainly no angel, but it's pretty clear to me that Mark is just stirring the shit and trying to get some leverage within the team, even though he had equal opportunity so far this year. (Silverstone wing aside). Personally I don't think he can cope with the pressure.

Actually I've just thought that was very aussie of him (at least from my aussie friends). They like to bitch a lot, but at the end of the day they get on with the job at hand.

Living in New Zealand I can confirm that Aussies are extremely whiny.

So, if Emo is running 3rd - it needs to be Webba in 1st for him to capture the drver's championchip. If Emo is in 2nd, he wins the chip. If Emo is in 4th, the 2 Red Bulls are free to fight it out. Do I have that right? :dunno:

Ferrari is stronger at Abu Dahbi though...oh man, tough. :noes:

I'm in for Lewis making a desperate charge on the inside of Alonso for the chip, only to hit him leaving the Red Bulls to duke it out :x:

That's not a good idea by any means, coz that mean skittles will crash into webbo like in Turkey and hand Emo the 'chip.

It should be a 3 car pileup with Skittles, Emo and Hambone, Webbo wins :eek3: , and I'll finally have something to cheer about this yr. But should that not happen, it's ok, I'm used to being left disappointed :wtcd: .

Gaybo's only chance of victory is team orders, the irony will be awesome if skittle lets him through for the win.

It's not really irony if Vettel decides to let him through out of his own accord. He clearly hasn't cut him a single break all year.

He's hinted already that if the cards aren't right for him to win it, Vettel will let Webber through. Do you know the kind of backlash Vettel will get if he doesn't let his team-mate through and allows Alonso in the Ferrari to win the chip?

I'm sure Red Bull will make it very clear that they are only allowed to race each other for the title if Alonso is out of reach for the title...

The irony will be from all the people who were gnashing their teeth after Germany rejoicing that somebody other than Fred won because of team orders.

That won't happen though, Fred's got this shit.

if Alonso wins this weekend he will pull alongside Jackie Stewart, who has 27 wins and 3 titles.

Vettel letting Webbo through because his chances are over != not team orders. It's teamwork.

I guess Ferrari discovered teamwork earlier than their competitors then.

I'm not a huge anti-teamorders guy.

BUT, Ferarri ordering Massa to move over on the anniversary of a horrible accident and Vettel letting his team mate by because his chances are over are two completely unrelated scenarios.

No it is the same, the driver ahead moving over so that his teammate can win.

Why'd he repost the pic from Montreal ?? :dunno:

Massa still technically had a chance to win the chip. He never got the oppurutunity to - and who knows, maybe with that win, it would've kick-started him to have become a contender the rest of the year? Look at Alonso's recovery. It's not entirely impossible.

Vettel letting Webber through makes sense because he would then mathematically be out of the hunt (assuming Alonso is in 3rd). What's the point of being a dick about it (in Vettel's position).

Only Emoso sakriders can call Vettel swapping with Webbo on his own accord to keep the WDC in the team during the last race the same thing as Ferrari ordering Massa to move over for his teammate at the halfway mark of the season, 1 year after he almost died in a Ferrari.
