I'm going to go with RBR as well...In 09, RBR was the only team to have the funneled nose, in '10, everyone had the funneled nose...

My vote is for Macca. I think they're going to pull out all of the stops, mostly so Ron Dennis doesn't fire everyone besides Louise.

Big changes to regulations in aero and KERS. Too close to call IMO. If there weren't the KERS factor I might have guessed RBR.

McLaren should have the best KERS. They seemed to make the most headway with it in 09.

Massa said in 09 that all their speed comes from the KERS, so even if they didn't have the best one it was good and should be ok this year.

My top tip for innovation that everyone will copy: Williams, they will come up with some awesome batshit design, waste potential in the first few races because of the drivers and then everyone will catch up and it will be business as usual.

itsthesamefuckingcar.jpg except looks like a higher/straighter nose and a bit more chunk to accomodate the kers, I read somewhere that the launch has 2010 wings and we will see the proper car when testing begins :dunno:

The only thing great about this car is the lack of a shark fin. It looks like it has a badly done nose job more fitting to "insert actress/actor" than a race car. It's fugly as sin.

Everytime a new, modern car launches, I seem to reminisce back to the pre-09 cars...:hs:

Ferrari has revealed that it has been using Toyota's wind-tunnel to help with the development of its new Formula 1 car.

The Italian outfit is eager to make big aerodynamic gains this year, and decided that it needed to use a facility other than its own Maranello facility if it was to do that.

As it tried to balance what it could do under the terms of the Resource Restriction Agreement, which in principle allows teams to spend more money if they outsource more, Ferrari elected that using the Cologne facility of the former Toyota team was its best bet.

Speaking about the decision to use Toyota's wind-tunnel, Ferrari technical director Aldo Costa said: "There are some FOTA regulation restrictions in terms of expense - which is the cost for the framework, the number of people working in the team, the number of hours spent in the wind tunnel, and also the power of the server for the CFD.

"These are the four restrictions and the last two are connected - so it is up to the team how to spend money, how to employ people and where to work.

"We therefore decided to really focus on the work of the wind tunnel, and one wind tunnel was not enough - we needed one and a little bit more.

"The Toyota tunnel is one of the commercial tunnels that is more state-of-the-art, and that is why we have selected it."

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali said that Ferrari's period of work with Toyota would be coming to an end in the next few days.

One by-product of the new rules restricting front chassis height is that a V-nose might not be desirable. As the height of the dash and front bulkheads are limited to a maximum height, the ā€œVā€ nose might be inefficient. V-noses allowed more flow under the car without putting too much heavy structure high up. Now to maximise space under the nose we might see a return to the simpler rectangular chassis cross section, with the top edge at the 670mm limit, which creates the most space underneath. Thus the Ferrari has a near flat top and the line from the cockpit opening rises up 45mm from the dash to the front wheels.

So I guess expect more noses like that.
