But the entire ending to the broadcast was about "look how nice it is to see how Lewis is happy again." For fucks sake, I'm watching a race...

If that's the case, at least compare the 2 when Button has a good car...That's what bothered me the most about today's BBC's coverage. Especially DC's comment about how Button cannot extract as much from the car as Lewis can as seen by this race. Are you kidding me? He had a KERS issue that forced him to reset the system every 2 laps and fucked with his brake balance the entire time. And he managed to get 3rd with all of that...What more do they expect?

Jenson put it best 2 weeks ago when they ask him what they thought was wrong with Lewis...

"I don't give a fuck."

He said that? Totally missed that

I'm honestly not sure that, in a straight up fight, Button could get as much out of the car as Lewis.

Either way, Speed's commentary is still preferred by me to BBC's for the seeming need to ramble on and on about stupid shit like this.

Yeah but I can't get over the commercials they play in key moments. We were at my friend's place and he was re-showing the SPEED broadcast of Round 18 of MotoGP to another friend of ours and during commercial break, we missed Spies pass both Dovi & Pedrosa. I was like WTF!?

I still get the impression that had Vettel not had his problem, we would have seen him do another flag to flag, fastest lap and pole weekend.

Basically the race is for who finishes behind Vettel, and in that aspect, the on track action was pretty much boring as shit. BTW, did I mention Tilke sucks?

All this talk about Ham vs Button actually brings up another point... Webber, what a disappointing season for the guy. Has the fastest car (except when new one-off parts come from Milton Keynes, then he has the second fastest car) and still 141 points behind the leader. He needs to spend the offseason practicing race starts in the simulator or something..

"Vettel then mentioned that he'd first met Mansell as a child – in Madame Tussauds!

Asked whether he thought they'd do a Vettel waxwork, he thought for a few moments.

"I shouldn't think so," he said. "They've got one German in there already, and I gather he's not very popular." He meant Adolf Hitler, not Michael Schumacher, incidentally."

I wouldn't compared MotoGP's coverage to F1's... for motogp, they honestly don't give a rats ass about it...

F1 - Speed > BBC
MotoGP - BBC pre-race + Eurosport during race = > doggy poo > Speed
WRC - Euro ESPN > Anything else

lol. I've tried watching the Speed feed as well before and for the most part, I just prefer BBC's. But when they have a driver they love, they make sure to go out of their way to lick their balls every chance they get.

Perhaps I'll start downloading the "natural sounds" coverage they have on SkyTV.

I agree w/ Jimmy tho, Vettel would've won it, flag to flag. BTW, lets race tonight! :bigthumb:

Perhaps.

Even Vettel an RBR were saying McLaren had the race pace.

McLaren amazed by Button's drive

http://www.autosport...rt.php/id/96215

Fernando amazed by Hamilton (:eek3: )

Q: Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso recently paid you a huge compliment, saying that he believes you are the only driver in the field who can win races with a car that is not as competitive as the best car on the grid. He said he will be watching you during the winter tests…
LH: I am honoured that Fernando is so positive about my qualities, despite this season and the differences that we had. Our relationship has got a lot stronger and the respect that we have for each other is much stronger. It is great to see that he has come out with these compliments, as I have also always said that he is one of the best drivers. So in general it is really good to hear that I have received support from other drivers as well.

according to jalopnik, this is what I missed by not listening to Speed.

"Jenson Button, playing his part in Mo' vember by growing a Bro-stache..." - Bob Varsha #noshavenovember

"The team reported a small amount of ignition problem after that first practice session, probably caused by most of the engine being blown out of the left front exhaust system..." - Steve Matchett

"All just 'cause the air's a bit more denser." - David Hobbs

"Well, that won't buff out." - Bob Varsha

"What's your favorite Incubus hit, David?" - Bob Varsha

"Oh jeez, a 'character' in the Formula One pit lane? Who'da' guessed it?" - Bob Varsha

"Plum last on the grid, it can't get any worse, can it?" - Will Buxton
"If there was more cars I could have been more farther back." - Rubens Barrichello

"That doesn't grip very well when they're all four in the air." - David Hobbs

"All weekend I've been struggling with a nervous rear." - Jenson Button

"What would it mean for the team if you were able to secure that position?" - Will Buxton
"To get more money." - Frank Tost (STR Team Principal)

"That pit exit, to me, just looks like the kiss of death." - David Hobbs

"So, that's where we're at, we don't know, they won't tell us...lovely." - Will buxton

"Ours is not to reason why, ours is just to blame them afterwards." - Bob Varsha

 I love smartassery.
