Hamilton - "I have to confess we do listen to some of the other drivers and, on the monitor, I have a driver button. Afterwards, when they have gone on pole, I have to turn it off immediately so I don't have to hear Sebastian whooping it up in the car. Today I wasn't feverishly looking for that button to turn it off, so that felt good!"

That must be demoralizing as fuck

Actually Whitmarsh was the one that said that quote, but still, demoralizing as fuck indeed.

Awesome pass by Vettel on the first lap
Wish the battle with Webber and Hambo had gone longer
Same with Fernando catching up to Button
WTF with all the empty grandstands?

Good race :)

Most people seem to think he's more depressed than smug. :dunno:

Drove quite the race though, his fight with Webbo was awesome. Shame Jens couldn't make up the ground to make it a 3-way fight.

Lotus beat the Saubers. :eek3:

Yeah, I didn't see that body language from Luey as being smog...he's probably emo from everyone at McLaren cheering for Jens instead of him :mamoru:

I wish Jenson did better tho. He got dropped like nobodies business from 3rd on grid :wtc:

Interesting tidbit that I saw on Planet-F1

Mercedes Know The Man They Want
So was there a subtle sub-plot to Ross Brawn's announcement that the greatest test of Sebastian Vettel's career will only occur when he accepts the challenge of driving a car that isn't the best in the field? It didn't seem so subtle when Brawn likened Vettel's future predicament as an echo of the calling Michael Schumacher heard fifteen years ago when he gave up Benetton for the ultimate challenge of restoring Ferrari to the front.

Spotting what we're reading between the lines? Clue: Replace 'Schumacher' with 'Vettel', 'Benetton' with 'Red Bull' and 'Ferrari' with 'Mercedes'. Ross might be subtle, but we're not.

Funny how history repeats itself...would MS make way for Vettel though? Is he ready to give up GP racing a 2nd time? I don't think there's a spot in the field for him other than at MB to be honest.

Grasping at straws, IMO.

No surprise any team wouldn't mind Vettel on their roster right now, but I doubt Ross would play mind games like that.

Indeed it's a stretch.

It's very much future talk at the moment because Vettel's signed up at Red Bull until end of 2014: http://news.bbc.co.u...one/9424199.stm

It's quite possible that MS will have retired by then.
