how long has this been going on?


its pretty recent. it came with the creation of homeland security because they've increased cooperation across state and country lines in order to improve security.

i went to canada in 2002 but im pretty sure they werent doing it at that time. i just showed my Ohio ID, they searched my car because they were jerks, and then i was on my way. no looking me up in a computer or anything.

233 Canandian Dollars per person including the service fee and delivery fee, but I'll let you know how much VISA charged me in Euros :eek3:

maybe i'll just kill two birds with one stone: save gas money and avoid those pesky border police by floating down the St. Lawrence on a raft made from driftwood ala Huckleberry Finn. only problem is getting over Niagara Falls in one piece. :dunno:

Not yet.

We'd kinda all decided to not go and do the local auto-x school instead (we'd essentially have to run it :bowrofl: ).

But then we though "eff it" and planned the Super-Trip, so we're just now scrambling to get tix to everything.

If anyone wants to go, we're going to Cedar Point the Monday after the Air Race, then staying a few nights in NYC that week before the race.

the canadian consulate is giving me the runaround and taking their sweet time at it as well, so i'm going to go to detroit in 2 weeks for the Red Bull Air Race so while i'm there i can try crossing the border and just see what happens. if that fails then maybe i'll be taking the canoe across the border :bowdown:
